I was a 2 PAD smoker. I quite 2 years ago using a dse901 and a 510. I managed to stay off analogs for several months. I had 2 batteries crash before I had the cash for more supplies, and an extended power outage killed me. I only had 2 good batteries and I was screwed.

Back in January, I decided to quit again. I ordered an ego, and lots of juice. 5 egos in fact, so I would have enough battery power to make it through a power outage. And a PCC, just in case. (slightly paranoid of a reoccurance am I- lol). The first day I got it, I tried vaping, and I coughed, and coughed, and couged. I have horrible allergies almost all year long, and I couldn't stop coughing. So I set it aside, and pretended it wasn't there. Until last month. I had a bad cold, and couldn't breathe to smoke, so I pulled out the ego. No go, still coughing like crazy. But it brought it back to the front of my mind. Last week I realized all the chest congestion was finally gone, and I ran out of cigs, so I pulled out the ego again. A few delicate puffs so I didn't cough, and I'm back. :D Day 1 and 2, I had 1/2 pack of cigs. (still not bad from 2 PAD). Day 3 and 4, I was down to 5. Yesterday, I smoked 3, and didn't really enjoy them. They are (thankfully) tasting nasty to me again. My husband and MIL (who I see daily) both smoke indoors, so I have no chance to be away from smokers. Some 24mg, and chain vaping, and I'm doing remarkably well with cravings. No real strong cravings, just vague urges that I can overcome if I concentrate and chain vape a bit.

Yesterday I noticed that all the crud in my lungs seems to have cleared, and I no longer cough when I lay down at night. A deep breath doesn't start anything rattling or making weird noises. I feel like a whole new person in just a few days. I'm constantly amazed at all the bad things smoking can do to us, and equally amazed at how fast the human body can repair itself. Coincidently, I've also noticed that vaping is helping me diet. I think it's because I prefer mint (it's peppermint, not menthol) flavor, so I constantly feel like I have candy in my mouth. I've not had any trouble with snacking on junk food since I started vaping again. LOL. It's an awesome side effect.

And on another note, I'm far more prepared to stay vaping this time. I caught the Christmas sale at Health Cabin, and ordered a couple ego-T attys, and tanks, and about 250ml of liquid. And another battery charger, just in case. So I think I might be prepared better- a total of 7 attys, 5 batteries, 2 chargers, a PCC, and a spare 250ml. :D

So anyway, just wanted to reintroduce myself here, and say Hi! and I'm SOOO glad to be back!

Welcome back! If coughing is still an issue you might consider inhaling different. I don't know how you inhale right now but I always suggest to new vapers to inhale into your mouth first and then drag it down. Alternatively you could inhale into your mouth, let it sit for a bit and then exhale, some will go down, but not as much.

You might also consider switching to a VG based liquid. Something that is 50/50 or something that is nearly 100% VG. PG can be harsh on some people.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm so very excited to be back. I had forgotten how much I enjoy vaping. As part of the i-don't -want-to-quit mentality, I had managed to forget how enjoyable it is to vape instead.

Thankfully the coughing wasn't too bad this time around. Partly because my allergies are getting better with the winter, and partially because I was very careful not to inhale very deeply at first. By the second day it was gone, and I'm feeling much better now. I think not smoking is helping what little bit of winter allergies I had too, I feel spectacular!

I'm already trying to decide what to do with my cigarette money from the next paycheck- more parts, or extra liquid. LOL.
