Has anyone else switched from the higher voltages back down because of
congestion, coughing and stuff like that?

I had been vaping at 5 and 6V (expect for my eGo) and have developed a
bad congestion and "smokers cough" in the morning.
I do really like the extra vapor and flavor, but my lungs seem happier when
vaping at 3.7V.

When I vape at 5 and 6, I do draw on it much more lightly than I would at
a lower voltage.

Maybe I vape too much, but lowering the power means less lung congestion in the morning for me

Has anyone alse had this experience?

I think it depends on how sensitive a person can be and the liquid and attys your using.

I vape at 3.7v but chain vape for a few hours sometimes.

I drink a lot of water but my throat sometimes will still get dry.

maybe I'm weak but 5v+ is too much flair for me. lol

some people switch back and forth. or if you need a quick fix then do 5v, other wise do 3.7v.
everyone likes something different.

I have gone back but not all the way to 3.7 because I like the flavor and coolness of the vape. I dont do 6v any longer. Just too hot for me. 5v Is still nice with a 510 atty.

I dont cough or anything from HV but I can see how you could.

I just like the lower volts better using a 510 or LR 510 attys..

Attys last longer too most of the time..

Oooh. I love 5 volts. But I'm making the switch too, or at least thinking I am...we'll see. For me going back down to 3.7 is part of my cut back quest. A nice advantage is the reduced size and weight of my gear, and the voltage cut back wouldn't have been an option for me without LR atties and Premium Cartomizers to boost vapor.

After I get used to lower voltage I'll start cutting nic mg. I can't see past 3.7volts and 18mg right now, but I'm hoping 12mg is in my near future. Near as in like 6 months...I'm taking it easy.

What you need is an adjustable device that way you could just change it to your needs like lowering the voltage to reduce the intake or to ease the throat hit or increasing it to get a bigger hit etc.
I tried 6V and it was Way to hot for me , then I tried the HV attys and they were to cold ? so I went back to 3.7v and there was not enough everything for me.
A Passthru was what I ended up on most of the time ( no battery type )

LOL! yeah I think 6 is too hot to.
I started vaping with a 3 volter, then when I got my first 5V, it was like, WOW! this is the real deal, forget the 3V wimpy stuff!! LOL!
And looking at all those Youtube videos convinced me that anything under 5V was like vaping air!
But after a few months, my poor lungs are ready to go on strike! 8-o

I tried the HV 510 attys but decided it vaped about the same as using a regular atty at 3V :|

I guess I will still use my 5 volter sometimes, just not all day!

i don't have much experience at all vaping HV, but last night i spent a few hours doing so and all i can say is WOAH! that was when the danmed atties decided they would work though. i can see how one would end up coughing and feeling as though you were back on the analogs. i don't think 6V is for me either, so i am going to try 3.7V with the LR atties.
such a learning curve this is. :)

from the web site " and the only
adapter that is available with adjustable air draw). "

This adjusts the draw or air flow I believe ( I have not tried one )

No I am talking about adjusting the voltage to control the vape/flavor

I use reg.510 attys on my 5v and 3.7v and enjoy them both. Depends on the mood at the time. 5v got me off the ciggies and is still my sweet spot. I do use them at the same time rotating when chain vaping (at the computer or drinking), don't want to get the attys to hot.;) Not even interested in trying anything higher than 5v.:)

Tried HV and hated it. The whole experience was just way too rough and nasty for me, not to mention that I was less than thrilled at the appearance of the HV mods.

But after all there are lots of cigarette brands as well as other ways to smoke from ultra light cigarettes through stogies and clay pipes with thick black tobacco, so its good that all kinds of people changing from all kinds of smoking to vaping can find an equivalent experience.
