Hello all. My name is Nick.

I just started using e-cigs this week. I am hoping it will help in curbing smoking (tobacco) as I try to quit. Although I can see how vaping can lead to trading one addiction to another. Ideally I hope to quit all forms of smoking/vaping soon.

Anyway, it seems like there's a good deal of useful information here as well as others' insight about e-cigs. I only wish I did more research and found this forum before buying the lames ... blu starter kit. I guess it's my training wheels. The awful battery life is making the whole experience kind of frustrating. Well, I am gonna have to get through this bunch of cartridges that I ordered before considering getting something more substantial.

Welcome to the forum, from one new member to another. I gave up the analogs the day I started vaping. I didn't really intend to, but on a bet from a buddy I stayed analog free for the first 3 days, then lit one up. It made me sick to my stomach and man did it STINK! I haven't been back since. 2 weeks analog free and that is the longest I have ever gone in almost 30 years.

Good luck with it! I found for me that leaving them behind was easy, and I hope you do to. But if not, just try a step down program and I'm sure you will get there!

I started with a 510 and found that the batteries were dying to quick, so I moved to an eGo and love that thing. Easy to use, batteries last plenty long, and besides it looks cool!

Congrats on taking the first step!! And don't worry a lot of people get sucked into buying the Blu. They are good at advertising but most will tell you to they've had bad experiences with them. However, it is much better than getting sucked into one of the scams that will rip you off, just not a particularly good ecig.

Lots of people have different opinions on which ecig is the best and it kind of depends on what you are looking for, what you want to spend, etc. You are at the right place for the right advice. I would personally suggest the ego or ego t. You can get a kit from many reputable vendors you can find out about on here. I got mine from freedmsmokeusa. The ego uses a 510 atty which is good because it is very popular so compatible parts can be bought just about anywhere, and the ego battery will last you all day.

Best of luck to you!!!

I just started recently but i bought 2 510 batteries and cartos + passthrough and when i want to get the full flavor our of some juices i throw on a lr atty + driptip around the house. the battery doesn't last that long so i don't take it out.

I also bought a ego-t kit that i take out of the house to work and stuff and its just awesome. I love this thing and it lasts all day with 2 tanks and 1 charge of the battery.

Yeah, battery life on cig size batteries (even 100s size) stinks. I kill one everyday. I have 2 batteries so I always leave one on a charger or PCC, but I carry a normal case because I like to carry 4-6 flavors. :) But as Carl says, cigs taste horrific and make you ill after vaping for a number of days. It'll definitely curb your smoking! Good luck!

Heh... don't feel too bad... it could've been a lot worse than a Blu...

Here's what I got suckered into buying, before I found ECF: http://store.smokingstick.com/

Total ripoff. But, hey, it got me off the analogs by showing me the potential of vaping. Good thing you found the forum before you got too invested in something mediocre, or worse, discouraged altogether.

Be sure to order BEFORE you run out of cartridges. While the Blu helped curb my cigarette addiction, I could not quit completely while using the Blu...too much frustration with it.

I strongly recommend getting an Ego. You'll be off cigs in no time then.
