I want to start off by saying thank you to MistressNomad for her awesome videos over at ( This Post ). I actually found her videos on youtube when looking around for reviews, when I then stumbled upon her profile page and the link to this site.

So here I am :D. I am a casual smoker, but I tend to get casual very often ;). I ride a Yamaha R1 motorcycle with my MC which I do quiet often, which is when most of my smoking happens. I also smoke a lot when I am with friends at the bars or very rarely when I join one of my coworkers for a smoke break.

I can say I go through a pack in a day or two, but that's only if I go out. I'm looking for a cheaper and safer alternative (e-cigs). I was just curious to find out what they are all about ever since I saw those crappy overpriced ones at the mall haha.

I just ordered my first e-cig today, the KR808D-1 from Vapor4Life.com. I went with the starter kit which is the minimum recommended by most experienced e-cig vaporers (did I say that right? haha). I'm so excited to try it out and see what all the rage is about.

I first looked into a BluCig and got scared off real quick especially when I came on here. It was between the 510 and KR8... Obviously the KR8 won ;)

In closing. I am getting a new toy which Im excited to try out. My name is Alex. I live in florida... and I look forward to meeting some of you. :p

I have a kr808 and 510 (big and small) and I think the kr808 is a fine unit, you can get some good prices on empty carto's and the battery life is decent enough...there are better and I am sure someone is going to say something about a Riva before this thread goes away....it will definitely get you through the day just keep a battery on the charger...you will learn for yourself quickly how long a cartomizer last you and how often you will need to change batteries.

One day you will probably order a 510 anyway just to compare :p

Ditch the KR8 and get an eGo!!! Just kidding, I thought I'd get that in before the eGo mania sets in on this thread. The KR8 is a good solid performer. If it works for you that's all that matters. Since you aren't a heavy smoker it will probably serve you just fine. You might want to order some juice before your starter kit arrives. Those prefilled carto's won't last as long as you think. You might also want to consider ordering some extra carto's and an extra battery too. You need to keep some backup stuff on hand. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Yea... I need to get maybe some empty carto's and I'm gonna check out FreedomSmokeUsa for some e-juice. I want to also order from 18mg stuff. The sampler pack with the kit is 11mg... The next highest was like 30+ or something. I did NOT want to touch that xD

I got my KR808 today from V4L! [Came in yesterday, but It had to go through central receiving at my job.]
I'm happy with it so far :p. I've been vaping a bit in the office using the passthrough. I can't wait to get home to get some serious vaping done.

It came with a pack of 5 Premium Menthol 11mg. I just ordered 10 Blank Cartos from V4L and 18mg 10ml of Hypnotic Myst and Clove from FreedomSmokeUsa. I would of bought the cartos from FreedomSmokeUsa, but unfortunately they were out of stock with no ETA :(. Yay $5 shipping -_-.

If anyone has any tips, maybe where I can get better Cartos for the KR808, let me know! =]

I, too, have a KR080D-1. I like it a lot. I get several hours worth of vaping from a charged battery. Just keep another battery charging when you are vaping on one.

About a month ago I bought a Hello016 manual battery with a 510 to 808/901 adapter so that I would have the advantage of a larger battery that only needs recharging every couple of days but didn't have to buy new cartos and carts. Because this battery is sealed, I can also drip with it. The KR808D-1 is not sealed. However, I have dripped successfully with the 808s and have not yet blown one.

I have the passthrough, but the battery is way more convenient anyways. I'm not sure how much vaping I will be doing. Is it bad to have one of the batteries charging even when it's full? I'm waiting for battery #1 to go out so then I can charge while I use battery #2.
