Hello! Looking for an Affordable 18650 Mod

Hello everyone, I made an account a while back on the forums but only lurked; this is actually my first post (I think). I've been in the market to buy a mech mod + atty for myself; mostly browsing fasttech for clones and such since my budget is quite low. What I'm mainly looking for in a mod are a magnetic switch, recessed/non-locking firing button (flexible with this), and overall well built (like everyone else, I'd like a great vaping experience).

All the items I'm about to list will be purchased from fasttech - I would post links, but since I am new to the forums it wouldn't let me.

So far I'm looking at these mods:
-4nine clone
-FUhattan
-Magneto II

Now regarding the Magneto II, fasttech advertises it as authentic, but since they're known to mostly carry clones I'm not sure if it's the real deal, but it looks legit.

And in regards to atomizers:
-Magma clone
-Tobh Atty V2

I really appreciate you guys helping me out!

I'm under the impression that if fasttech says their product is a clone(style) or authentic they're being genuine. Smok is a Chinese company.

Personally I'd choose the Magneto, replacement parts are easy to come by with US retailers. I was in a toss up between the Beyond Vape Beacon $665 and the Magneto$50 but chose to save up for a VaporShark DNA40 instead.

Don't know what your budget is but there are original mods for sale in the price range ie Infanite clt copper and the Ragnorok off the top of my head (both around $50-$60)

I hear the 4nine, with its hybrid/atty to battery isn't particularly forgiving to a new mech user, so I'd give up on that one, personally :)

However, I would recommend their Brass + Stainless GP paps clone all day. I got the one with all 3 tube sizes; for an extra $2, why not?

The magma and tobh do two very different things from what I understand (I only own the magma, have a tobh en route). The magma is great for flavor, but the draw is on the restrictive side (lung hits possible, but could be much airier for my tastes). I don't use it as much, for that reason. I love the magma, but I've been a fan of the Plume Veil lately.

So for the atties, I'd say both :)

I got my authentic Magneto II on eBay for $32.99 and I love it in 18650 mode. When in 18350 mode with flat tops I find that it doesn't fire everytime, I don't think the mod shortens quite enough. As far as quality, though, I haven't had any issues. If I could change one thing about it, I would like a shorter throw on the fire button. It's been a great first mech mod.

Thank you guys all for the wonderful feedback!

As of now, I'm deciding between the Magneto II and the SMPL Mod Clone (SKU 1943604) for my mod; seems like I won't go wrong with either so I'll just make a split decision when the time comes to actually purchasing one. And for the atomizer I'm leaning mostly towards the Magma clone (SKU 1718100), but also the Tobh Atty V2 (SKU 1716603). I also checked out the Plume Veil (SKU 1808003), but some people who ordered from fasttech reportedly had issues with their center post, so I'm going to have to think about this one a bit more.
