Hello, my name is Mark!

I have been smoking for 5 years and have been trying to quit for 6 months using a MVP v1 and a Kanger ProTank v2. When I first got it I loved it so much but after 1 month I quit and started smoking again. I tried to quit again but I ran into problem after problem with my vape. It was harsh, leaked, and guggle like crazy. I gave up again and am currently smoking again. I recently decided to approach my quitting full force so I purchased a Vapor Flask dna 40 yesterday along with a nautilus tank. I'm hoping that this vape will give me no problems and allow me to quit with ""ease"". I know its a long road ahead of me but I have strong determination to quit once and for all....

I've never been on this site, other than lurking, but I'm hoping to make it a community of which I can rely on when I'm craving a cig..

welcome to ECF staplerz ... are you using the BVC coils on that setup?

Congratulations on your determination !! I feel you, I've got about a dozen tanks already and some leak, some don't...your best bet find a local shop that is very willing to help you out ! I've got a place that will coil and wick free of charge whenever needed, Makes things extremely easy !

Probably could have asked a question before now. Everyone wants to say what they think is best.

I made my vaping into a hobby. So many directions to go beyond just taking a "drag". I am grateful to be able to smell, taste, and not stink. Actually, women like to kiss me a lot more, too.

Rather than just opening a cig box putting one to my lips and lighting it, I can try new flavors, new hardware, DIY juice, rebuild, share with the other hobbyists, and rant to my representatives.

I like it and I am grateful for what my doctor says. Its smart.

I have not received it yet and am clueless about coils/ohms/etc. That is the main reason I have joined this forum. I hope to learn more everyday.
I did read that I would need pure nickel wire in order for the temp management to work on the DNA 40.

I'm curently using a MVP v1, Nautilus BVC and BVC coils.

When the Vapor Flash arrives I hope to know what coils to use. /=

Another thing I should state is that I'm a heavy drinker.... (I know shame on me.....). I'm going to AA everyday but the smoking is just as hard to quit. I've been trying to fill my "drink/smoke" time with fishing and hiking but it's been an up hill battle. All I can do it take it day by day

I just got a new setup. Nautilus Aspire (1.8ohm BVC) w/ a Vamo7 mod (7-35w) and I can see never smoking cigs again. Haven't wanted one since I got this stuff even after coffee, beer, meals, etc. Finding something that works right for you seems to be the real trick but I think I've done it!

Welcome Mark. I too found problems with protank style atomizers when I was trying to quit smoking. Harsh dry hits almost made me go back. It wasn't till I tried a rebuildable, that I found what I was looking for. A simple igo w or tobh clone can be found for $15 to $25. Wrapping the coils isn't hard and can become a hobby. 8 months without a cig and 7 years sober. It is possible. Best of luck.

Welcome to ECF Mark! I think alot of folks that were unsuccessful experienced problems and didn't know how to deal with them. That's where ECF comes in. If you have problems with your new set up, which is more than adequate to get you off the smokes, be sure to get on here and ask for help. You will get solutions to whatever problem in short order.

If you belong to a group, look for other vapers and try each others flavors, atomizers, and tricks. When I started vaping, I had to know it would work and be able to replace the cigs. I got a bottle of stronger nic juice. It got my trust and faith. Funny thing, for me, about nic levels, if I vape strong juice I tend to take less vapes. If the juice is weak...I think to tape the vaporizer to me lips. I really didn't care about flavor since my tastebuds were pretty destroyed. See the other vapers that are doing it and not smoking. Just do what they do. Just one day at a time with the vaping. Learn about it and relax.
