Hello friends. I apologize upfront if anything i post is in the wrong section. Im familiar with forums but each one is slightly different. Anyways, New to the vaping world. In my case I enjoy just the flavor now and then from a friends "pen". With 0mg nic. Like i said just like the flavor for certain times. Well decided to buy something for myself.I still have no idea what im doing. However I did lots of research and I went with a SMOKTech X Cube II 160W and a SMOKTECH TFV4. Sure, might be a lot of money for someone brand new, but i like the way it looks and thats half of my interest. (custom settings and colors and such). Well all in all my question is what the heck kind of battery or charger do i need? Ive been doing research and im totally lost with all of that right now. I wouldnt use it every two seconds. Just here and there through out the day if im driving or after a meal or walking around or something. So im just wondering what I should buy and why. I really appreciate any help from anyone that has the time to offer it. Have a great day

*Edit

If anyone has a specific name brand and such that would be great or a link

Hi @MyGnomeIsBread and welcome to the forum. I have a few links for batteries from the battery experts on ECF :

Where to buy in USA

The Samsung 25 r(2500 mah) and Sony VTC 4's (2100 mah) and 5's are a good start but the 3000 mah HG2's are getting a lot of love lately. You should buy and USE the batteries in "married" pairs. It's safer. As to chargers, the Nitecore, and Xtar brands are the most recommended that I've seen. I have the Nitecore i2 (2 battery slot) and it does fine for my vape.

I have the same mod and tank setup. It's a nice combo.

Good luck in your journey.

A pair of LG HG2's, Sony VTC5's or Samsung 25R's would be OK up to about 130W or so.
Above 130W the Sony VTC4's would be better.

For a regulated mod, in VW mode, you calculate the max current draw as Max Amps = Max Wattage / Min Battery Voltage (3.2v).

From Baditudes Blog (he's our resident battery/safety expert):

* Battery Chargers. Get the best charger that you can reasonably afford. Statistically most battery incidents occur while charging. Pila, Xtar, and Nitecore Intellicharger are the most recommended brands.

Thanks guys. Like i said, im brand new to this so obviously trying to be safe as well. I will make another post when I get this all setup. Based of some reviews with this setup and flavors I was thinking being around operation around 80-90 watts. Not that that means anything to me until i figure this out more. So if those batteries work for now that I guess ill be fine :D

I bought a SMOKTech X Cube II 160W and a SMOKTECH TFV4 with either a
LG 18650HG2 3000mAh 20a or a Samsung 25 r battery

I totally forgot what battery i bought. But it was one of those two that was recommended on the forum. Ill know when it arrives in the mail obviously.

Im wondering what I need to do in regards to settings or ohms or amps or whatever. Im trying to be as safe as I can but being new to this Im not trying to blow up. Are there settings I need to avoid or things i should not do with that setup? Or can i just charge them up and go and play around with all sorts of settings and not worry.
My overall goal is just to have good taste and big clouds. It seem fun to me and thats why i got into all this was the "for show" fun aspect.
What are the recommended settings or watts or amps or whatever that i should use? for that combo.
Ive been watching vidoes and reading but Id like to ask this specific to my setup. Thanks guys.

I have the exact setup, but haven't tried the temp control yet as my Titanium 1 wire should arrive in todays mail. The tank comes with a triple coil installed. I am suing mine in watt mode at 60 watts and it guzzles the juice. I have used it as high as 90 watts with no issue but it was a very warm vape. Your mileage may vary. I also got the single coil rba for the tank and it works well, same as my Subtank Mini's. The tank gives a smooth vape.

Your batteries will be fine. Charge the batteries, plug them in and turn the CUBE on. It's got a lot of gimmicks with the app that you can also use the controls on the mod.

Good luck and enjoy.
