Greetings, I am 50 years old, been smoking since i was 18. Still remember the day a high school friend said "try one of these". Hooked!:( Anyways, I too, have veiwed these forums for a long time and learned a ton! I thank you all. Currently using the Ego and once in a while the joye510. Started out with the Smoking Everywhere. what a piece of crap that was. Anywho, Im down to sneaking an analog twice a day now and hope to soon stop that. The Ego seems to really work for me. Thx again

Welcome to the ECF Sard and congrats on making the switch to e-cigs. Yes I think we all learned the hardway on our first purchases but glad you found the forum and a good kit. Don't worry about sneaking, like Liv said it will happen. For me, I was a 1 1/2 pad smoker for over 24+ yrs and after many attempts quitting my pv/e-cig has done the trick so far. My last pack lasted me over 4 days so I just kinda told myself, why smoke, I like vaping better. The more often you grab the pv/ecig, the less you want real cigs. Anyway, glad you are doing so well, keep it up!! :)

Welcome to ECF and Good Luck kicking the analogs completely. I smoked a pad+ for 18 years and was raised in a home where both parents smoked non stop since before I was born. I have been completely analog free for just over 2 weeks now and I am still amazed how easy vaping has made this for me, as I always enjoyed smoking. My wife and I both thought for sure I would never quit. I quit by accident thats crazy!
Anyway my mother has smoked a pad+ for well over 30 years and I am getting her a nice eGo setup for christmas and i hope it works for her! I told her about my success and other here on ECF so she is willing to give it an honest shot!
it is good to get inspiration from the folks here on ECF, especially you old timers w/ 30+ years of analog addiction.
if you can do it I know my mother can to!

TY for the warm welcome. I really am convinced that this will work for me. Next trick will be to make the atomizer's last a long time. I have the 2 egos working good, but the rivas dont seem to put out the vapor and TH I like. I bought 25 atomizers from Puresmoker so I will never be without if needed, I am trying one out now. Can't seem to get much vapor out of it and zero TH. Do new atty's come alive after awhile like in days or what? I did blow out the fluid that came in it and 3 dropped the atty, and have the cart off my ego on it, been working at it for the last hour. Any ideas?

Hi Sard, my story is a close to Banjo's. Few years older than you and smoked for approx 40 years, analogue free for 7 months now. It will happen for you!!!

With your atty's, some do take time to "come alive", maybe a day. The atty could be dry so you may find putting 4-5 drops directly on the bridge may help. Make sure the carts are full and check that the fill hasn't receded into the cart, the atty bridge needs to have a good contact with the fill.

a freshly cleaned atty can take in the neighborhood of 10-12 drops to become saturated and work well. 2-3 drops is a good topoff if dripping. my guess is that yours is still "dry".

Welcome to ECF from a 1 1/2 pad for 35+ yr now ex-smoker, stick with the vaping and you can do it!
Gets easier every day, only thing you'll miss out on is the withdrawal symptoms. :)

With all the battery, atty, cart switching, dripping and priming... have you cleaned the threads on
the batteries and atty/ cartos?
A Q-tip works for me, and if it's been a while since I cleaned them I dampen it with a little alcohol (Everclear).

Thx, I know I'll be totally analog free soon, I can feel it! Yes, I have noticed that the threads need to be cleaned frequently, so I,ve been pretty consistant on keeping them clean....still workin at getting this new atty up to speed, fog is still low, but hit is there.

Wow, I finally figured out this new atty. Turns out it was flooding. I blew it out and gave it one drop. Tons of vapor and the TH! I guess the gurgling sound should have been the clue, but my others also gurgle some and work great. I think I dont have enough filler or it is too loose so it wicks/leaks too much. Anyways, sure is neat to learn and figure out this stuff. Sure seems to be a fine line between wicking too much/not enough.
