After smoking for 17 years I decided to give e-cigs a try. I started out with a few disposables and they weren't quit cutting the mustard. Some were okay, others were just plain disgusting. Overall my experience with them was discouraging. I would suggest them for light or social smokers, but not pack-a-day smokers like myself. Then I decided one day to get an education. I did research online and visited my local vape shop. At the shop, the staff let me sample different liquids with an eGo style device. (still not sure if eGo is a brand or a style of device) They talked, I vaped, and when all was said and done I left satisfied with my very own electronic cigarette and liquid.

This was a week ago and I've been vaping ever since. Five minutes before registering with this forum, I smoked, or tried to smoke rather, a cigarette. I took two drags and it was all I could stand. I'd rather vape used motor oil than smoke another cigarette.

Anyhoo. My "education" is still incomplete and that's what drew me to this site. I've been snooping around since I started vaping and deided what the hell, I might as well join.

Welcome. I agree with the cigarette part. About 2 weeks after I started one I went out partying one night and my battery ran out so I had to resort to a cig. After a drag or 2 I threw it way. Funny once you switch to something like vaping how much it opens your eyes to how gross smoking really is.

You'll find a lot of helpful into here. If you have any questions they're sure to get answered quickly. Enjoy!

thats exactly what i did too. i got totally satisfied with vaping and didnt want to have another analog.. but then i was curious..... i lit up a buddies stinky and i had 2 drags and i felt sick to my stomach. Glad i made my switch when i did!! otherwise i would still be a stinky with stinkys in my pocket smelling like stinky stink. vaping has opened up so many different things to me. people dont look at me like a " smoker " when im vaping. if they still look at me weird i just try to educate them on what it is im doing. if they can dig it, great! if not, well then thats their problem that they are going to have to deal with because we are growing in numbers everyday and thats not including the people that haven't heard of/ signed up on this forum. were going to overpower the smell of stinkys and soon enough they will conform to the dark side!!!

Welcome Chawg to ECF. Very knowledgeable and friendly people here. I was a 2 pack a day smoker. Found a kiosk vendor in Key West while on vacation last June. Bought a setup from him and have found it's a whole new world out there....vaping. Since then I have bought the Vamo v5, Zmax Mini and a Provari Mini. So many e liquid flavors and hope to try them all

A VV battery is kind of nice to have. Some of my juices taste better at different voltages. I don't use one for my all day vape, but at night I use a Vision Spinner battery (I have a couple of them) and rotate flavors. Tonight will be peach, chocolate chip mint ice cream and mango. With the Spinner, I can quickly adjust the voltage to hit the sweet spot on each of my juices. Amazing how a few tenths of a volt can make such a difference in the taste of a juice.

Hope you continue to enjoy vaping and it seems you are open to trying new things, so get ready for quite a journey.
