Thanks for the kind words [emoji3]Congratulations on deciding to quit. I smoked for 23 years and vaping has been the only thing that helped me quit smoking. I smelled a cig the other day and it was disgusting. Best of luck to you, and stop in here often. I find this site better than Facebook lately. Go for a box mod and a nice tank.
No problem! I wish I would have found this forum before I started spending money. I went through 4 different upgrades, and about $700.00. Just to get to this list. Most of my purchases where at a local B@M. They charged double the price of those sites. One good thing about spending all that money was. I wasn't going to go back to smoking. I would have felt like a huge failure If I spent that much and still smoked!Thank you [emoji3]

I got a MarkTen disposable, which I'm sure is a pretty low end experience if I had to guess.
Right now I'm really leaning towards the iStick 50w and maybe the Atlantis to go with it. Was looking at the new Melos but they seem to have sold out. I want a setup that has room to grow as I gain experience and this combo sounds OK for now.

Why is everyone so quick to suggest sub ohm tanks to brand new vapors? Am I the only one that thinks people should read up before jumping into sub ohming?Room to grow: the kanger subtank comes with an optional rebuildable head, so you can start out with the premade heads, then later on you can use the rebuildable and stop buying replacement heads.

I was using it as a term to describe tanks that have sub ohm coils built for it. As in kanger subtank, subtank mini, subtank micro, atlantis, delta II. Not to mention the fact you can build a sub ohm coil on the rda head for the subtank. What's a sub ohm tank?
There are sub ohm coils. Ohm is a property of the coil, not the tank.
"Sub ohm" seems to be a term being thrown around recklessly nowadays by the sales people and it seems to be baboozleing new vapers.
Kanger's own poor choice of the name 'subtank' doesn't seem to help either.

I'm interested in looking at some good tank starter kits, I have a modest budget of $100. A satisfying throat hit and decent vapor production are important to me, the disposables I've tried before have been a bad introduction to vaping if these forums are any indication.
