I would like to say that I quit smoking three weeks ago went two days cold turkey and decided to start vapin. I am a very impatient person and went to the only vape shop within miles in my area. I purchased an innokin itaste vv with two kangertech tanks one being an evod and the other being a pro tank 3. As I said I am very impatient so I now know I paid way to much. The battery seems to be fair I get about around six hours out of it or 200 puffs. I like the puff counter mainly for battery reasons. I have been using gingers e juice groovy menthol 80pg 20vg 16 mg nicotine that I really like a lot .
So my questions are the cheapo evod tank gives me great vapor and the pro tank 3 does not even after trying many different ohm watt and voltage settings. So my assumption is that this I taste does not provide the power for a dual coil. I have read a lot on here about different mods and I was thinking that the provari ( sorry I know this question has been beat to death) might give me the power to fire a dual coil. The only thing I am afraid of with the provari is battery life any input would be great. Also I don't mind shelling out a couple hundred bucks for a good device but the ejuice at 50 bucks a bottle seems to much is there a good menthol like gingers ejuice that's out there I know it's personal taste but I have tried d nd vapors just horrible in my opinion but half the price why not try it right I just don't want to have a hundred bottles of that stuff sucks sitting on my shelf. Thanks to all that may reply

The Evod and the ProTank3 should provide pretty much the same vapor production. The fact that the ProTank2 has dual coils to the single coil of the Evod doesn't make that much of a difference. I'm at a loss to explain why the ProTank isn't performing up to snuff for you. I suggest watching some YouTube reviews of the ProTank3 and see if you can find some tips on how to get it to perform better for you.

Edit: It's possible that the default coil head in the Protank is defective. Try exchanging it out with a replacement coil head.

Your iTaste V3 has more than enough power to fire a dual coil clearomizer like the Protank3. I suspect there's an issue with the tank than with the iTaste.

If money is not an issue, I'm convinced that you'll find the Provari to be an upgrade. They are my favorite mod (I own three). Having said that, you'll only get longer battery time with the Provari over the V3. Both will provide the same vaping experience. The V3, MVP, and Provari all produce an 800 Hz PWM signal to the heating coil which provides an extremely smooth vape. Most other variable voltage mods use the 33.3 Hz chip (rattlesnake effect).

Why Provari?

I recently bought juice from Killer Juice that was inexpensive and really good, but don't think they have a ginger. Alice in Vapeland makes really great juices (more expensive) and they have a Ginger. I have never tried it though.

I have a vv3 and love it; also a Provari and love it as well. I think the vape/vapor is better on my Provari and it does have the advantage of just charging up batteries so it will last forever, vs the vv3, which one day will just die and need to be tossed.

I have used a variety of knock-off eGo batteries, both vv and non-vv. Protank 3 has worked fine with all. I second Baditude's thought that the coil may be crap. Have you swapped that out?
As cbrite said, Alice in Vapeland has some great liquids (vaping some right now), and while they have some flavors featuring menthol, that is not their specialty. My wife vapes ONLY menthol, no flavors. She adores "Sub Zero" from Halo. It is very frosty cool!

I use a Kanger VV 900 with a ProTank 3, usually around 4.2v with a 2ohm and produce plenty of flavor and vapor, so like the others I would figure something is simply defective with one of the coils in the ProTank. And $50 for a bottle of juice? What size bottle are you buying, that seems quite steep... I generally only buy 30ml bottles, and pay around $13-16 for them (size of bottle has to do with me not wanting to get burned out on one flavor and stuck with it).

Hello all, I just joined your group and I'm new to vaping (2 months) and a little older (48). Thank you for this wonderful site - I've been following along for about a week before joining today. I was a 2 cigarette a day smoker from 2011-2013 (I was a social smoker when I drank, but went cold-turkey in 2003, both, adios), but then in 2012, huge tragedy/stress hit, and it was all down hill and I started smoking more. Both parents died young, partly due to smoking. So, I switched to vaping to be more healthy. I bought the Maya Liquid ifill Starter Pack. I like the taste of sweet tobacco, and the gentleman who sold me the kit recommended Maya Tobacco flavor and then, when it wasn't sweet enough, ifill tobacco, which is also made by Maya...I'm so confused, but anyway, my concern is this: I'm not getting much drag from this e-cig and I feel like I have to really pucker up and inhale hard, and even then, it's kinda wimpy as far as taste and vapor goes. The side-effect of this is that I'm now getting deep wrinkles around my mouth that weren't there before I started vaping, and I don't like it. Is there a better version out there that wouldn't require me to be a bionic smoker? My experience is lacking and my mouth looks terrible :( Thanks so much and sorry for sounding vain.

I'm not familiar with Maya products, in fact I've never heard of the brand so I googled it.

I can assure you that there are better products on the market. Quality with e-cig products vary widely.

I recommend purchasing a Vision ego Spinner battery (a reputable name brand battery), a couple of "clearomizers" (juice attachments) that accept replaceable coil heads, for your gear. Purchase from an ECF approved vendor such as AltSmoke, Discount Vapors, or My Vapor Store (all online vendors).

Finding e-liquid is a hit-or-miss proposition if purchasing online. It becomes easier if you can find a local vape shop that allows you to sample the flavors prior to purchasing them.

Have you looked into the itaste MVP 2.0. Sure, it's no Provari, but it is much less $$ and the battery life is tremendous.

Unless you're buying a really large bottle, $50 seems high for a bottle of juice. Check out the above mentioned vendors. I have had decent luck with Zeus ejuice, but there are so many different vendors that could be recommended on here. Everyone's taste is different. I wouldn't be able to point you in a good direction on anything menthol because it's not something that I like.

Good luck!

I actually just picked up one of the 1300mah Spinners along with a Kanger Airflow Control Valve to throw under my PT3, seriously loving this set up. I've always been an eGo style guy, but this has to be the best I've come across. Second this recommendation.
