Hello I just got my third Mod. It is the HCigar VT75c.
I have used in the past the Alien smok and the joyetech Ocular.
I want to try TC vaping. My atomizers are the eCig Globus and the Aspire Nautilus 2.
Looking forward to solve many questions I have regarding the mod HCigar VT75c.

Please let me know if you have any experience with it.

Hi and welcome.
The Globus can use the: BF SS316 Series Heads, or the BF Ni, or the BF Ti heads.
The Nauti 2 can use the readily available : Aspire Mini Triton Heads - Ni200 0.15Ω

Match profile to wire type,
Set temp between 420f-470f, start watts low and increase as needed.
Have FUN with escribe and the 75C!

Best of luck

So general question : Do you think TC mode is useless for 1.8Ω coils? If yes, why?

It should be fine if you wrap 32awg SS about 6/7 wraps on a 3mm mandrel.
The beauty of VW and TC is that the resistance is of little consequence. (Mod resistance range permitting)

The only caveat is that resistance/temperature is determined by a % change in resistance.
The algorithm produces more accurate results with larger % changes in resistance.
IE> .2Ω increased to .4Ω is a 100% increase in resistance. (A .2Ω increase)
1.8Ω increased to 2.0Ω is a bit over 11%. (also a .2Ω increase ) = Much less accurate

I think there are plenty of MTL vapers using TC. It is my understanding that coil resistance doesn't matter *as much* in TC vaping, but I use stainless steel and build my coils at around 1.0 resistance, and I can certainly use them in TC mode and it is similar to other MTL vaping.

I think its usefulness lies in the fact that even in MTL tanks, temperature can rise high with chain vaping or smaller tanks and less airflow, so there is utility in using it when you can. I don't know that you NEED a 1.8 coil, versus a 1.0 coil, a lot of the change in vape will come from the temp control not the coil. It IS my understanding that a coil with more mass takes a little longer to heat up, so there may be value in having lower resistance coils to avoid the initial lag.

Hmm. I didn't know I actually knew that much about TC, so if I've made errors here, I hope someone will come along to correct me, LOL.

You could make the same coil in SS which would end up about 1 ohm, assuming the original was Kanthal, but if you tried using SS, Ti or Nickel (especially) to reach 1.8 it would probably take such a long skinny piece of wire you'd have trouble getting a wick in it. I did once make a #30 nickel coil down at 7 watts or so, but don't recall the resistance, maybe .15 .

Again, throw in the wild card of different types of wire and it really shows how little the resistance number tells you about the coil.

    Hi,

Not really familiar with the HCigar VT75c but considered getting one since they are inexpensive. But while looking around on the net saw that there may be issues with battery safety with some batteries. Particularly 26650 batteries that are slightly long and end up being caused to vent by the mod.

Here's one from Mooch's facebook page. So please use caution
