Hi, I have signed up here today in the hope that someone may be able to help me with my new Joyetech Eroll!

I've been into vaping for some time now, have used quite a few different tanks like the eVod and Protank 2 but after having lots of problems (and maybe some bad luck) with the atomiser coils I decided to look for something a bit more simplistic.

I really did my homework, read reviews and watched YouTube clips and decided to invest in a Joyetech eRoll as it looked so easy to use and set up and I'd not seen any comments that would put me off about minor bad points.

I received my package yesterday and to be honest I'm really disappointed. I feel like I'm using a different device to these dozens of reviewers :( I seem to be assembling it exactly as described and seen on youtube. Im using a red label 1.4% juice.

My main problem is that when I drawer on the fully charged eRoll the battery light goes out after literally 2 seconds of inhaling, like it is disengaging, however if I drawer on it as hard as I can it stays lit and engaged (but still no real throat hit and great vapour I heard about in the reviews). I have to tug so hard on it to get anything out of it it hurts after a while. All other ecigs I've had you can just inhale normally and usually the slower the better but slow drawing on this is impossible as the battery light goes out like it can't detect my drawer.

I am watching out for the airhole when I use it, I'm lining up the little holes on the atomiser cone with the battery holes etc, the eRoll charges in the PCC according to the blue light all seems in order, I appear to be assembling it all correctly but I surely can't be? I swapped everything to the second set of equipment out of the box and exactly the same problem.

I hope you get what I mean, what could I be doing wrong? Could it be an airlock type thing? Strange that it happened the same after using the second set too.

Sorry for War and Peace in my first post! Many thanks for any help and hope I'm in the right place! :)

Welcome to posting on the forums, unfortunately I don't have any answers for you, I haven't used an eroll. Though, from a little googling, it seems the atomizers might need a little break in period, so maybe just keep using them and it will get better?

After you have your 5 posts, you can go ask in the eroll subforum, if no one else happens along here to help you out.

I started with an eRoll and used it successfully for 6 months. I never had that problem. Are you making sure that the wick is well saturated? Also, sometimes the "filter" part (cartridge) isn't cut out properly so there's no airflow coming through.

Look at the crescent shaped holes on the side of the cartridge, on the end that goes into the battery. If they're covered with the same plastic as the rest of the cartridge, you'll need to pop them out.

I have eRolls. I can draw on mine all the way counting past 8 seconds, then I run out of breath. Also can draw on it short n' quick as well. Light on end of eRoll stays blue and I get awesome hits.

Are you sure they are charging up correctly? Charge the PCC case til light goes green, then charge eRoll batts in there until blue light goes off on PCC.

What resistance atties are you using LR or SR

I always make sure I prime the attie with a drop of eliquid before I assemble. Make sure there is no plastic wrapping left on it, etc.

you should not have a tight draw like you are describing unless something is blocking.

Make sure there is also nothing blocking the hole that the juice comes out of in the mouthpiece, and also that the sharp attie tip has completely "pierced" it so juice and air can flow. There should be nothing over that hole in that side of the mouthpiece, just the hole itself that you sqirt the juice into with your needle tip bottle. That hole where you put the juice in (never do it from the lip touching side!) is the part of the mouthpiece than goes down into the battery, and is then pierced by the atty.

Welcome Dave!
Edit: I PM'ed RaceHorse, don't know if she's on-line or not but maybe she'll come around and help you. I have one but don't know enough about it to help you :(

I didn't see your pm, I saw this post from OP first, but thanks, hope if we can't help he will post back so that he can accumulate enough posts to go to the eRoll forum. :)

For all things eRoll, future reference:

Thank you for the replies. Alisa, apologies but I'm not quite sure which part of the cartridge you refer to? Sorry I'm so dumb! Do you remove the two bits of plastic on either side of the cartridge hole? (That connects to the battery)

All seems to be charging fine, using the atties that came with the starter kit.

If you look at the bottom of the cartridge, you'll see the hole you fill into. On either side, just a little ways up, there should be 2 very small, crescent shaped protrusions. It looks like it's just the round part of the cartridge as it reduces in size to what you put in the battery, but they should actually be open. Try to put a very small screwdriver (like what you use on eyeglasses) or a toothpick in there. If it's covered over, then they didn't punch out the plastic. I'll see if I can find you a picture.

One side of the cartridge has a completely flat, round piece with a hole in the middle. That is the "mouthpiece" or side that goes into your mouth/lips.

The other side of the cartridge is a hole with notches on either side, it should be open, that is where you put your juice, and what the sharp part of the atty will draw from when pressed down into the atty.

The only time you put caps on that end is when carrying them around for backups.

well maybe, if it's the condom. But it wouldn't fit into the battery if that's what he's talking about. :p

No I think he is talking about that piece of clear silicone that is on the bottom of all Type A atomizers, you really can't get it off, it is held in between the bottom metal piece that is gold and the atty body itself.
