Hello all!
Trying hard to move away from tobacco. bout 3 months since my first vape.

The Ammit 25 is my first RTA. I have read some and seen videos and trying to get my wicking well.
Initially i had full on floods of the tank, that for taken care of, along with a better vape experience.
However, I still find the bottom of the tank leaving rings.
Image attached. I have tried to tighten the screw underneath as much as possible. Sometimes the leak is bigger Ill try posting images of the wick once i empty my tank.

Do advise and thank you all.

Regards,
Sidhu

Hard to tell from a picture but to me it looks like the wicking is a little sparse. You want to fill the top of those wicking holes with cotton. Not pack the wicking holes. This is where it is hard to put into words or even a picture. After the cotton is fluffed, it should fill the tops of those wicking channels. Now if you look at the side of the wicking channels the wick should either dangle or barely touch the bottom. You want the juice to be able to reach the wick ends. The ends to the wicking, the body of the cotton blocks the liquid from just flooding into the atty. Hope this helps more than just adds confusion. Wish I had a picture. I'm at work.

I'd agree that your wicking looks a little sparse and thin, from what I can see. I had that difficulty initially, I'd try increasing the amount of wick inside your coil and then really fluffing and thinning the tails while still making sure that they're keeping seepage from happening. The first time I wicked something correctly, I was 100% sure that I'd over-wicked it. I hadn't.

Good luck, you are moving in the right direction though! :)

Thank you all!
I was suspect that I underwicked it. The last time i had more in (i think it was jammed) and it flooded all over the mod. For this wick I used the Geekvape Organic cotton sheets. I also have a generic organic cotton with me, but its all stuck together. Images attached.

Ill rewick again and post images.
Thanks a gain!

I vape my .4 to .6's at at 17 watts. (regulated mod. Aspire Speeder. DTL) Nice flavor and good size clouds.
Start low and work your way up to your sweet spot.

ps."I think I'm doing mid 25-30w". You should know exactly! Guessing will get you in trouble every time.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Might want to google: How to dry burn and clean a vape coil. Hang in there and you will straighten things out. The wicks are fine.

nope.. Since ive been lame enough to rewick a dirty coil, im going to fill up half tank and vape and check for leaks. Which I just did. And not good :(
It started with some spitback, I turned down the juice flow to almost 1/5, and after a bit it stopped. settled at 18.5w. The clouds took some time coming, like the coil taking time to warm up.

After vaping the tank, same leak on the base. Please find image attached.
Again, thank you all for your time. Its great finding assistance! Frustrating as this is...

That is frustrating, I hope it improves! Oy. I have had my fair share of wicking incidents until I started using rayon which I love. You need to really STUFF your coil almost, even holding it still with a fingernail, then thinning out the tails is pretty easy. Plus, once a wick is functioning optimally, it will last longer before gunking.

There is a big long thread on rayon, it was very helpful for me starting out, they solved my wicking issues in two posts. Win.! Good luck,

Anna
