I just purchased a reo grand with a mophesto atty. Will any of the two types of battery's I own work in it? Is the mophesto good for clouds and flavor? I'm currently using a ipv3 aspire atlantis tank at 29 watts the sweet spot for me, it's a sub ohm tank. What would you recommend as far as build for mophesto I'll have my shop build it, I like flavor 1st but want clouds too. Thanks for reading my post.

Your build is preference. I run 0.5 on my IPV3 at the moment and I have 0.8 on my Reo. Your mephisto is modified to bottomfeed? I've used the mephisto one time and it was okay, not my favorite RDA, but that's preference as well.

Rob at Reo recommends the button top AW IMRs. I have the 1600mah and I really like them. I second Fearalis about reading on ohms law and such.

The Grey battery is a define no go......the green one may be OK if it is an authentic sony.. but u must be sure it is an authentic. Best suggestion is to order up some authentic batteries from a reputable reseller such as RTD vapor.

IMHO, the mephisto is a good "middle weight" (despite its size) RDA - decent flavour and quite good vapor, not extreme with either factor. The afc is functional, and dialling it down with get you best flavour results while opening it up all the way favours clouds - the difference is noticeable.

Your vaping preferences will be a factor. If you like intense, cloud producing direct lung inhales, the mephisto is up to that but not as capable as, say, an Odin or Dark Horse (again, IMHO). If MTL vaping is more your style, it's good for the more aggressive style of that. Some folks really dig the mephisto - I'm currently rocking one with one of my 3 ADV's, air flow 3/4 open.

As for builds, a nice dual coil setup seems to be its native state. I'm running 28 gauge 5/64" netting .55ohms, wicked with Koh Gen Doh. The thing to watch is that the atty has huge post holes and 28 gauge is about as small a wire as you could run without having difficulties capturing it. It would definitely be easier with 26 or 24 gauge wire.

Congrats on the pick up and welcome to the 'Ville :toast:

ditto everything said, of the three AW batteries they sell pick 1600 or 2200 but pass on the 2000. 1600 have a higher amp limit at 24amps and hit a little harder out of the gate. The 2200 have a 20amp limit and will last a bit longer. the 2000 don't hit as hard and will drop below the voltage we like faster than either of the others.

RTD is defiantly a good place to buy batteries - that is what i use.
Illumn.com - Flashlights, Batteries, Carry Gear, Intelligent LED Lighting, and More! is another good place a lot of people on here use, as is Sun Vapers is a premium Kanger reseller in San Diego County..

I run authentic Sony VTC5s or LG HE2s (all flat tops) in mine as that is what I've had for previous mods. HE2 is a 20amp battery, but I don't build supper low. I'm sure button top would be less wear and tear on the positive contact though, so my next order will probably contain some of those!

Definatly know your ohms law and respect the continuous amp limits on your battery when dealing with any mechanical (Reo is no exception). Also, always test your builds with an OHM reader before attempting to fire on your mod.

ICRs can explode when the battery is shorted or otherwise misused. IMRs are much less likely to explode, making them a bit safer. IMRs do however "vent" meaning hot gas leaves the battery with some force. This can cause burns and in an unvented or poorly vented mod, could cause the mod to explode (pressure built up with nowhere to go). My approach is use IMR, vented mods, and respect the battery limits/treat with care :)

Welcome to the group! If its the coper vain, I saw that Mod and thought about it.. but my wife would kill me for spending another 100+ on vape gear :)
