Hello to all ! - Advice Urgently Needed

Hi there,

So, I've been vaping for about a year now and have just upgraded my setup from an Aspire CVV+ stick and a Kanger Aerotank 2 to a Sigelei Box Mod 50w V2 Mini and an Aspire Atlantis tank.. i haven't really used it and am not quite sure how to, the vapour i get from it seems really hot and not particularly thick either the juice is a 50/50 pg vg blend.. i was wondering if this was totally normal and was how it was supposed to be or whether i am n00bing up and not really knowing what i'm doing (which seems much more likely) either way some advice on how to achieve smooth vapour would be appreciated, as i am currently something of a beginner swordsman who's suddenly been given Masamune to play with.. Whatever setting i seem to have it on doesn't appear to change much.

any advice you wise vapers can offer would be great

The first question is what setting do you have it on?

I have it set to 25W/3.8v and the Ohm reading is 0.6. thanks for your response

What air hole setting on the Atlantis is open? Small or wide open? Are you doing mouth-to-lung or direct-lung hits? With a sub ohm and wide open air flow it's more common to do direct lung hits to get the flavor and clouds you are looking for. If the air opening is on the small setting then you aren't going to get the thick vapor like you would with a open air flow.

Concur with the above.

Biggest air hole, set at 25W, that Atlantis should be humming along nicely. The only other suggestion is to maybe find a liquid a bit higher in VG. I certainly prefer juices in my Atlantis to be at least 70% VG. They just vape a lot better for me.

I would find a juice that has a 70/30 or higher VG/PG ratio and make sure your batteries are charged... (and of course make sure the atlantis is set to the largest air hole)

You can also try max VG. It definitely smoother than PG. And makes massive clouds. Also 6mg nic or lower is commonly suggested for sub ohm vape.

I wrote this in response to one of your other posts, but your setup is essentially a bomb waiting to happen.

You're going to discharge one of your Efest 35A's (which is actually an LG HE2, 20A battery).

DO NOT USE A HYBRID/DIRECT CONNECTION MOD WITH AN ATLANTIS/SUBTANK/ANYTHING THAT DOESN'T HAVE A PROTRUDING 510 CONNECTOR. IF IT HAS A FLAT CONNECTOR, AND YOU'RE USING IT IN A HYBRID MOD, IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE YOU HARD SHORT YOUR BATTERY.

My Atlantis has a protruding positive pin. I just have to make sure the atomizer is completely tightened down since that is what is making a connection to the pin itself.
Isn't the Subtank a spring loaded 510 pin? Now that is a huge no-no for hybrid mods.

As I see things...there are 2 types of vapists:

"analog-convert vapist"...mouth-to-lung hits...low Volts, high Ω's...want an analog experience

"hobby vapist"...lung hits...high Volts, low Ω's...want huge volumes of vapor

I believe the Aspire CVV+ is Variable Voltage battery...so...a suggestion...

Put your Kanger Aerotank 2 on your Sigelei Box Mod 50w V2 Mini...set it at the Volts you used on your Aspire CVV+...and "play around" with your new Sigelei to get a "feel" for it.

Then...try again your Aspire Atlantis. If it's still too hot...just figure you're not (yet?) a sub-ohm vapist.

In that case...consider risking $8.98 on an GS Air...which "loves" lower Volts and which many people "rave" about...

Yeah, a whole half millimetre away from a full short.

If you get yourself a REAL hybrid set you can get a good safe 5 millimetres clearance instead of being just a hairline away:

^^^ this one (heron) is even spring loaded, and still has millimetres of clearance if the spring is compressed.

I'm gonna ignore the rude (albeit hilarious) personal message you sent me, and tell you publically that that is not protruding. If the top of your flat top battery is at ALL bent (which tends to happen), or if for some reason you manage to get your atty down a TEENSY bit more than you normally do, you will be introducing a complete circuit via the mod itself. The likely result will be catastrophic battery failure.

Yes your right... I'm a complete ...... I'll let you know if I blow my face off. Its a 3mm clearance that I feel safe with. You have no right calling me out and telling me its not safe. Its just asking for a argument. And your comment about screwing the Atty down just that bit more doesn't even make sense at all. I won't even argue it because its just stupid. And I guess I pound on the top of my batteries with a hammer daily to dent them. Believe me I've shorted a aerotank before and learnt my lesson. The reason I bought the subtank was because the 510 protrudes enough to use with hybrids. The distance is safe. I have adjustable 510 attys and that's all I ever gave it for clearance. So get off my back Mr know it all and go harass someone else.

Quite frankly this is a vaping forum and we practice and try to pass on safety measures here. While the method may not have been correct, Yes we (at least some of us) will point out unsafe practices. Vape what you want when you want by yourself, but expect to be told around here when an unsafe practice is occurring. You're asking for trouble with that hybrid mod and that top on it. At any rate good luck.
