Welcome, fuzznut. I'm sure you'll enjoy the eGo as much as most of the eGo owners do, myself included. Aside from several juices, make sure you stock up on any extra spare parts such as atties, batteries, drip tips, cartomizers, and/or cartridges [whichever you find your preferred method of vaping is], etc. You don't have to do it right away, but it never hurts to have backups for your backups.

Happy vaping.

I want to quit smoking, but don't want to quit "smoking", so the PV looks like the way to go. Plus I want to feel healthier.

Then vaping is the perfect solution. I had exactly the same attitude when I started vaping. I didn't give up smoking right away, but I eventually realized that I preferred vaping over smoking. Now, it's completely replaced the old habit.

Good luck and I'm really glad your name is not the other way around:)

Great choice on the eGo !!

Welcome to ECF !!

Did you buy several juices to try ????

Lots to read and learn here !!!

Thanks! Actually, all my PV data gathering was from here; this place is great! Spent a couple of days of intense perusing, and haven't even scratched the surface here! Bought 20 flavors of various intensities to try out. Aarg, I really can't wait!!!

Welcome to ECF and the $6000 a year will go a long way in feeding a nice vaping hobby. I know since in NY smokes are more than $10/pack and at a 1.5PAD habit that is around $5,500!

Thanks, yeah I did a survey on myself, averaged to 2.2pad. at 7.90pk in NJ, that's $6,343.70/yr. Yikes! I'm tired of the annual cig tax hike every year, tired of the state taking my money. Plus I want to loose those 4,000 chemicals I keep inhaling.

wow! 6K a year? thats $500 a month! about 100 packs! about 3 packs per day! as a medical profession working in the cardiology field, all i can say is great job for making the switch! i wish you all the best with vaping!

on a side note, if you invest that $500 into other gear, especially when taking advantage of some of the excellent sales you will find here, you will be set for the rest of the year. go buy a car now!

in a weird way, i wish i could save that much money by switching over.

Thanks, yeah I need to assess what extra stuff to get right away, don't want any down time! I'm a techie, so I'm probably going to be fooling with mods. I was deciding between regular and mega, got the standard to see how it goes from there. I smoke a lot but don't know yet if that translates to the PV world.

Thanks! My last cig puff will be followed by my first draw on the eGo. I really had it with cigs. Money aside, I have other reasons to quit, like my stepfather in the hospital dying from emphysema, my mother begging me to stop so that doesn't happen to me, my brother in law with severe emphysema at 55... usually you go yeah, have another cigarette and forget about it, but this is too close to home for me.

Haha, FUZZNUT was just the name of my former rock band.

Hi and welcome to ECF and the world of vaping! Sounds like you are off to a good start - the eGo is a good pv and 20 flavors to try. Don't forget the other essentials like spare batteries, atty's/carts, drip tips (if you want), cartomizers (if you want).

Goodbye nasty habit, hello healthier hobby!

Thanks! It is a nasty habit, my wife reminds me every day!

For a year, he could set himself up for at least 5 if he spent that much every month.

It's so weird that I feel guilty buying vaping stuff that I "want" rather than need now that I've passed the hump of getting myself comfortable with equipment. I currently want a red vGo (so sharp), a blue 900mah ego battery, some vaporbomb juices, some of those clearomizers, and some more bottles for DIY. However, I have all I need and I shouldn't buy them, but on the other hand if I were still smoking analogs I'd spend beyond what I would pay for all of that in a month. It's crazy what addiction will do to you.

Haha, I look at it as not saving money, but not spending money that I don't have in the first place.
