I was waiting till I could start a thread in the right place, and trying to get some good pics of what is going on. Trying to build a micro coil, before I was just using the stuff that came with it wrapping around the silica, getting about 1.3 ohm. Now I am using a 9/64 bit and 28g kanthal. tried everything from 7 to 15 wraps, not overlapping. Every coil I make gives me a low load message on my SID

Ship, is the top lead wire in your picture touching the head? If so, you have a short.
