Welcome to the forum Lee. I'm not sure that I would want to encourage vaping to someone that is not a tobacco user already. Still not sure if breathing heated up propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, and assorted flavorings are all that good for anyone. If you do decide to vape, make sure that you vape zero nicotine at that. I can assure you from firsthand experience that addiction is not cool. Plus the flavors taste better with no nicotine added. If you were to vape for flavor, I would not recommend using an atomizer with a resistance that is lower than 2.5 ohms on a 3.7 volt system. The rest are aesthetics.

0 nicotine is a must.. don't get addicted if you never we're :p

But I think that if you should get informed on bad stuff that can be found in some e-juice and try
to pick out a good company that both suits your needs and is safe first. Then you could decide
if you want just the flavor or making big clouds with a smooth throat hit.. it's all up to you..

I don't see any wrong in non-smokers becoming vapers but many will disagree and tell you
that it's wrong or gives us a bad name.. I say find what works for you.

It's a mixed bag my friend. I don't think most of us are looking to be "cool" Just an alternative outlet from smoking that has reduced negatives effects to health.

I can't agree anymore on this. If you do start, zero on the nicotine. The flavors can be enjoyable, but are you doing it to chuck clouds? Or was your interest in tasting the rainbow?

or both?

But like Jugband said, there are other outlets to be "cool". Better not to start at all if you haven't done anything damaging besides breathe in fumes from traffic.

You will still be cool in my book if you don't start :)

I never could understand why a non smoker would want to start vaping? While the majority of us have started vaping because it's healthier than smoking, it is NOT healthier than nothing foreign in your lungs.

If your starting cause it's a fad and you MUST...than zero nicotine is also a MUST! Do not harm yourself by getting addicted to something new.

I'm not judging...just wondering....why????

hmm, sorry if this goes against how people seem to feel :(.. I sort of, kind of, maybe, possibly believe if non smokers think vaping is cool then let them be welcome with a little education. I remember almost every smoker telling me smoking wasn't cool growing up in the 80s (usually with a ciggy in hand hehe), by time I was 12 or so I knew I was a smoker for life.

It is a nice time to try ecigs Link Lee, with some time spent on youtube I'm sure something will grab your eye.. I'd recommend buying say 500ml - 1l bottles of PG and VG, maybe some 5ml bottles of flavours you might find fun, but actually read up on the ingredients since you will find some have a faint question mark on how safe they are (which kind of goes to show how big guinee pigs we all are). There are so many articles and videos out there on everything ecig related, vape safe :)

Ignore the nicotine since it really is one of the most addictive drugs in the world.. for myself and probably the majority of people here (guessing since Im new hehe) .. for me at least the nicotine addiction kind of snuck up on me over a year or so untill it was way too late, now I think 2/3rds of my life has been spent on nicotine, slightly depressing.. down to 4mg now tho yay ! ;). Also it is by far the most expensive part of mixing your own eliquid :p (oh, also poison that kills people etc.. one of the best pesticides in the world hehe)

I dunno, I see this argument often on tv / web articles.. to me it has the same validity as a news piece as vaping leads to alcohol abuse, lol. If ecigs were around 20 odd years ago I'm sure myself and most of the people at my school would have been smoking them instead of cigs.. that can't be a bad thing ?

Edit: I mean we all kind of congratulate ourselves on giving up the stinkys for ecigs and feel sad for old friends that won't make the jump, why not cut out the middle man for the next generation ;)
