Hello everyone,

I started vaping about six months ago, after smoking heavily for about 27 years.

I’m really liking it, and also I started to make coils. Claptons, wrapped, fused claptons, framed staples, tigers, wrapped staple fused tiger claptons... Yeah. Loving it.

Hope to have a great time here. Thanks!

Welcome to ECF and I'm glad you are enjoying your switch to vaping. That's great. As Eskie said, Fasttech might be worth checking out, they are reliable, inexpensive (usually) and slow. Shipping times can be slow, but Fasttech really does keep to its "authenitic" vs. "styled" (clone) separation. If a product is labeled authentic, then it is and I have never had FT get an order "wrong" and I like their system of keeping my orders on file. There have been times shipping was pretty slow, but I have never not gotten an order and it is always what it says it will be.

Hope you find a vendor that meets your needs.

Thank you Anna, for your warm welcome and suggestions.

I may give Fasttech a shot some day, but sadly, one of my biggest vices is impatience. Patience is probably a virtue I should perfect, as it seems to be a prerequisite for this hobby. :D

By the way... A friend gave me a mod he brought from abroad. It’s a three battery parallel squonk Mech.

I’m not that inexperienced when it comes to electric science, but I do have some doubts about the whole mech thing. I’d like to know what kind of coils I need to put in that.

I know ohms law so I think I should put in a coil that works for the voltage of one battery (3.2) and I can probably assume it could be having a draw of, let’s say, up to 3 x 20 = 60A. (I use premium batteries, all Sony and LG’s)

Can I therefore assume I can use coils of anything above 0.05 ohm and be in the clear?

And what is the place to normally discuss these things on this forum?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Might want to look at the following companies with regards to expedite shipping options:
Frequently Asked Questions: FastTech
Shipping Methods | GearBest.com

Hi Brother Bob, thanks for the suggestions but even though I have read these thoroughly before posting, they do not serve me at all.
Gearbest literally refuses to ship. There is no issue with customs, (I regularly receive from HeavensGifts through EMS) and they even list my country in the ‘we ship to’ list. It’s absolutely infuriating. But I’ve given up trying to talk sense in to them, it’s like they pull a new person off the street every day to answer clients, some even have a very minimal understanding of the English language.

As I said before, FastTech only has two options, Hong Kong donkey trail or Hong Kong carrier pigeon. All the other options other people can choose (EMS, DHL) are unavailable to me. I’m not sure the two options available will give me ‘customs fast pass’ that EMS and DHL seem to have. So it would mean taking a literal 40-day test at risk of losing my money.

But thanks for showing me those manual pages. I’d however very much rather have an alternative in the US that would be willing to ship me ‘machine parts’ and ‘electronic spare parts’ through DHL. ;)
