You will need a coil winding kit for this, but it's actually quite simple once you see a video or two on how to wind your own coils from a spool of wire.

Can you take some pictures? If the wicks were burning in half, you would definitely be getting a burnt flavor instead of a muted flavor.

I'm wondering if you didn't thin the wick ends enough, and it's plugging up the juice ports. It would make sense because you're vaping what you primed the coil with (first 2-3 puffs), but once you attach the top part of the atomizer back on, it's not wicking correctly.
I'll rewick in the mornin' and take some pictures. Thank you guys for all the help and tips, it's greatly appreciated!

Sorry for being so late to reply, but here are the pictures. Obviously the coil needs replacing, have some on the way
Edit; I usually am somewhere around 65-74 watts. If that helps any. The flavor is pretty muted. But, I get the most flavor between 72-74 watts.

Okay. First things first, you should dry burn your coils to clean them off a bit - they look pretty gunked up. Remove the cotton, set the mod wattage to around 25-30W, and pulse the fire button until you see the coils glow a bit. Don't make them white hot, you just want to cook off the old gunked up juice.

When you rewick, I would thin/comb out the wick ends even more. Before using rayon, I was using "13 feets" organic cotton as well. Cotton expands a bit when it gets wet. Don't be afraid to really thin out the wick ends.

Ok, I did that, made them super thin, haha. I also think I goofed, and wasn't tucking the cotton in the proper spot. So, fingers crossed I did it right this time. I think that's why my cotton kept splitting.

When I comb out wick ends on an RTA with a tank that's 5-6 mL or less, I thin quite a lot. The cotton is so thin that I can almost see through it right after combing. Of course this changes once you trim the ends and tuck them into the catch cups as you kind of mash it all back together.

This is the Arbiter using "13 feets" organic Japanese cotton - same thing:

I see! That's more or less what mine looked like this time around. I've actually been looking into the arbiter v2 to run on my thelema quest. I've heard it's easier to build than the DR v3 (which isn't that bad) but it's also a little more forgiving with placement. And it looks nicer. Haha. I just can't find anything but rainbow. :/ I'm just trying to find the best coils/wires to run with, that's my biggest dilemma lol

That's all you can do is keep experimenting. Maybe one day you'll come back to the V3 to figure out the unresolved issue. Good luck!

Welcome to ECF, @TARTARA. You'll most probably recv more welcomes and therefore have a greater day if you create a new 'Hi I'm new here' thread rather than 'hijacking' this one. :bluewink:
