Hellvape has long established itself in the Sub-Ohm sector with a particular preference for the RDA and RTA regenerable systems, in its huge catalog there are also some mechanical Mods, a Sub-Ohm tank (which can use two types of Nautilus / Big Baby coils ), an RDTA and a couple of equally interesting MTL devices.

However the most popular products of Hellvape are mainly devoted to DL vaping, let's remember some of them; Dead Rabbit (RDA, RTA, V2 RDA and V2 RTA), Drop Dead RDA, Passage RDA and Rebirth RTA.

Still with a view to improving its Items, Hellvape proposes a new 24mm RDA BF / Dripper, with interesting solutions for the Deck and with a very advanced AFC system.

I love the graphics that Hellvape uses for its packaging ... I have a great passion for this brand and I don't hide it.
The front side of the box with a red background looks like a western movie scenario set in the fiery desert, the Hellvape logo, the skull of a hellbeast buffalo (Hellbeast logo) and the giant writing "RDA" recall ancient burnt remains.

The back shows the main features, the contents of the package, the logos, the brands and the production area.

On the lateral sides of the box we find the numerical classification code (20 15), the writing "Hellbeast RDA" and a couple of stylized figures of this Item.

On the remaining sides are shown in order: the name, the color, a barcode and the security check which includes the Q-R Code and some holographic codes.
To conclude the description of the Packaging we find the writing "Evoke Your Vaping Genius".

First impressions:

I must say that when it comes to design, Hellvape almost always manages to characterize its products with style, trying each time to improve the previous devices also technically, showing appreciable commitment and love in their work.

However improving a good RDA is not easy at all, what you can do is try to make it easier to regenerate, study the thickness and quality of the materials to reduce the operating temperatures, or obtain a regulation of the AFC as wide as possible to capture the smallest nuances of flavor.
These are the first thoughts I got from seeing this HellVape HellBeast RDA for the first time.

For this review Hellvape sent me two different color versions, one "Gunmetal" and the other "Blue", the first thing I thought was to install this RDA on the recent Hellvape Trishul V2 Mech Mod device (color Copper), do not the colors matched, but the result of the combination (Copper / Gunmetal) satisfies me.

In the "exploded" view below, to begin describing this new Item I have put the Drip-Tip in the foreground. In fact this is one of the first updated details that are noticed.

In practice, the Hellvape technicians managed to keep the Drip-tip very short (7mm like the previous ones), the difference is that it has been widened at the bottom, to create a sort of insulating and protective barrier for the lips.
During the vape, involuntary direct contacts with hot metal become less frequent, the feedback is positive and appreciably comfortable.

In the image below we can see some details such as, for example, the external sleeve with seven (opposite) air passage slots, in total there are 14 slots, 10 are rather high and 2 on the sides are lower.

As you continue to examine this image, you notice; the Drip-Tip with differentiated section, the edge of the knurled Top-Cap, the sealing ring, a part of the innumerable (72) feed holes, or the new "Dislocation Post Deck" design.

The airflow holes (72 x 1.2mm) by rotating the Top-Cap increase and decrease, to allow a wide variety of adjustments.
Their angle of inclination is 15 ° downwards.

The walls of the Top-Cap measure 2.5mm thick in the thinnest part, at the top they even measure 5mm.
This explains the weight of 45gr and the good thermal dissipation of this Hellbeast RDA.

The outer sleeve of the HellVape Hellbeast RDA has a height of 20mm and a thickness of 1mm, the Hellvape logo is highlighted on the outside, inside the sleeve there is a small tooth that creates the anti-rotation system.
Indeed a small additional rotation is there! Thanks to 2 notches on the Deck you can take advantage of a rotation of about 1/4 of a turn, this helps to increase the combinations of orientation of the air flow to the left or to the right, always aiming the coils.

Inside the Top-Cap, the roof has a well-connected hemispherical shape, according to the modern standards studied by the vaping industry, this facilitates obtaining the best performance in terms of perceived flavor.

When the Top-Cap and the outer sleeve are joined, multiple adjustment possibilities are created ...
We can use a minimum of 6 holes per side (total 12) for a very narrow DL vape.
Starting from these 12 holes (minimum) it is possible to increase the air flow by 2 holes at a time (one on each side), up to the maximum setting, which is 38x1.2mm, practically without restrictions or almost.

HellBeast RDA Deck:

The Deck is designed as a "dual coil", the "dislocated" uprights might seem a strange or confusing realization, actually thanks to this system when the coil (with the right length) is wound counterclockwise its legs go straight down into the turrets , without any subsequent adjustments, while to install coils wound in a clockwise direction it will be enough to straighten the legs once they are blocked.

Deck walls measure approximately 7mm and have 2 sturdy sealing O-rings for the outer sleeve.
HellBeast RDA 24mm, comes with a perforated squonk pin and an Allen key, by unscrewing the pin you can completely remove the (positive) uprights for better parts cleaning.

The BF pin screws directly to a bar that supports the positive posts (gold color), on the sides of this bar there are two holes that push the liquid directly towards the cotton at a 45 degree angle, much more targeted and precise compared to other RDAs.

Coil installation:

The kit includes two 0.37Ω Fused Clapton Coil Ni80 coils wound counterclockwise.
With the tool (included in the kit) "Coil Cutting Tool" we have two preset sizes (5mm or 7mm), for coils wound counterclockwise it is advisable to cut at 5mm before inserting the legs.
For clockwise wound coils it is better to cut the Legs to 7mm, since when they are locked they are twisted and must be straightened.
The upright holes have a bottom, so the coil legs remain at the same height.

Final conclusions:
As for the design and build quality there is absolutely nothing I can complain about, the Top-Cap is knurled, offers a good grip and flows well without being too soft to move at the slightest contact. Building the Build is extremely simple, especially with coils turned counterclockwise. I believe that everyone can be able to regenerate this RDA, moreover it is easy to get a great flavor, the air flow is super adjustable, and the liquid thanks to the ducted system reaches the cotton in an optimal way. Some may complain of some difficulty getting the cotton wet in Dripper mode (top to bottom), however I'm sure HellBeast RDA will please everyone in BF vaping.
