I was looking at the Janty Ego at $79, but Libertyflights has Riva 510 for $29!!!! Is the vape on the ego worth an extra $50???? Any input to help me decide would be appreciated. My money is tight right now so I'm leaning towards the Riva, but I don't want added headaches either. If they are similar, I'll go cheap....if not, I'll wait for the Janty. Thanks.

IMO..not much difference, I own both...I do like the eGo a tad bit better, but others like the Riva better :). You can't beat the price, and you could get 2 full Riva set ups and some extra juice for the price of 1 eGo. The Riva warranty is not as good as the Jantys, but 3 mo warranty isn't bad and LF is a great company.
Happy vaping ~ L.

I also have both, and find the Riva is just as good aside from the minor difference in the quality of the threads that the cone screws on to, you might find a dab of oil helps the cone twist on smoother if your riva is 'rough' like mine was. As far as performance, they are not any different IMO, not for the price difference anyway.

I couldn't find anything for $29 @ Liberty-flights! Where did you see that they're restocking it?

On the thread that LibertyFlights created announcing the new price, quoted below. Go watch that thread and/or sign up for an account at their site to be updated. :2cool:

Not too sure how long it will take to get the next order in, I think all in all it took about 20 days to get them in my hand last time but they were a little late shipping them. I will email the user database and post here when they come in though. If you are signed up for an account on the site then you will receive the email.

I own both. Have several of the eGo sizes(650mah, 900mah, and 1300mah)and I really like them and use daily. I just bought one of the Rivas from Liberty Flight because I couldn't pass it up at that price. Apparently everyone else thought the same thing cause now they are sold out. Been vaping the Riva since I got it this morning. Sure seems just like the eGOs to me (the 650 and the 900). To be honest... I prefer the look of the Riva a lot more. Its beautiful in the black color with gold trim...looks very classy. If all goes well with this, and LF gets more of them...I'm going to buy a few kits as gifts for friends and family. For $30...its (at the very least) a GREAT starter kit for someone. Register at LF, then asked be notified when they come in. Also, just FYI, I have placed several orders with LF and have worked with their customer service on a few issues...and they are first rate. Usually answer emails almost instantly, amazing. You can't go wrong buying from them. Great vendor.

I own both. I do not like the Ego button at all, I have had mine for a few days and within 1 day I've had mis-fires (doesn't happen on my Riva) and I had a stuck button that blew out a brand new LR atty. Angry face. One of my Ego bats wouldn't even fit the charger because the threading was messed up (charger worked on other batteries). I think quality is entireley on the Riva side.

Just to give another side of the story.

I agree they are the same except for the button. I think I'm the only one on ECF who likes the EGO's button better... but I'd still go with the RIVA for the price.

Nope, one more. I like the eGO button just a bit better too. I guess we just got lucky and haven't had the same problems with ours as the other folks here. But for the price of the Riva, it is a great choice, and I haven't had any problems with its button either. I just prefer the "feel" of the eGO button, have no idea why.
