Hello all.

I have only been using this tank since last Monday can the coil already be bad? Funky burned taste when I puff on it. I have just changed the coil and letting ti sit to soak up juice but I never let the tank run dry or chain vape like crazy. Do the coils only last for under 2 weeks?

If it helps on the tank the coil failed I am vaping Kloud Panda juice which is more thick then the juice in my other tank.

Thank you

Depends on how many ml's of eliquid those 2 weeks represent.
Thick, colored, dark and especially sweet liquids tend to clog wicking material & gunk coils rapidly.
Over powering leads to scorching the wicking material which reduces wicking ability.
Under powering speeds up coil gunk formation.
Both give odd, off, funky or burnt tastes.

K1 heads aren't known for high vg wicking ability.

Replacement heads can last from just a few ml's to hundreds of ml's.

This is just my opinion, please do not blame me if you do not agree with.

Because of very limited supplies in my country, I do not have a lot of coils, so after 2 or 3 weeks, there is some weird taste when I vape. Here is my solution: "wash it" with water. I let it under hydrant, and let water goes through strongly. After that I blow water away as much as possible, and let it dry for about 1 day. After that, the coil come back to normal , and I can use it for 3 week later, and do the same thing again until it can not fire any more.

Hope this help !
Sr for my poor English !

Yes, I can be bad, especially with thick/sweet/dark juices. As has been said, you can try cleaning them for extended life. I found, back in the day when I was using pre-made coils, that PGA or Vodka does a better job of solving the gunk. They can be washed too, in hot soapy water, either after or instead of soaking in alcohol. Rinse them very well and allow to air dry for a day or so; which can be sped up by using a hair dryer.

Yes.
And if you spend money on expensive juice you don't want to be vaping it on an old coil, so you end up wanting to change them or clean them after a few days.

That's one of the reasons people end up with rebuildables.

you should be able to clean those k1 coils by dryburning.

Thank you for that idea. I already threw it away but I will try that trick the next time one goes bad :)
Along with rinsing in water as suggested, I also soak in at least 70% proof vodka to kill any bacteria for about 12 to 24 hours then just let it air dry. Have made many a coil last so much longer. However, if it's a burnt taste then the coil is probably done. I just do the vodka thing when changing juices and re-using coils.

UPDATE: Seems the coil was fine, the new coil has that same funny taste. As a matter of fact everything has a funny taste. I think my body went and reset itself and now I can't taste anything, not even coffee YIKES. How long does this last for?
Ah, the "vapors tongue". I have heard that drinking water, and maybe a Listerine rinse may help. I have gone through that myself and only lasted a day for me. It does happen.

Oh, yes, your tastebuds are probably going on a ride for the next few months.
Don't be too quick to throw stuff away, just take your time.

I read about it but never expected it to be this "weird" I am guessing somewhere down the line my system will be stable and stop acting funny? Weird part is my sense of smell is MUCH improved and I have not lost that

it will settle down eventually once your tastebuds recover from years of smoking, although you can always get vapors tongue from vaping strong flavors.
