Common I had this same problem and it was from over filling it. What I had to do is take it apart put the coil to the side and I washed every other piece with water. I let it dry put it back to together and everything is great. Since then I make sure that I don't fill it up to the very top anymore. Again don't let the coil get wet, also make sure your coils are authentic by checking the scratch code.

After trying two different Nautilus systems and going through a couple boxes of coils I had severe leaking issues and mild burnt taste as well. Now I fixed my nautilus by opening the garbage and throwing it in there. Worked like a charm. lol.
That said. I occasionally get burnt taste with my other systems like my Evod 1 and 2's, aspire ce5-s's and my new kanger EMOW. And it's almost always because the voltage on my battery is set too high. I lower it and in a few puffs its good as new. Same should apply to any system.

That's why I bought it. So many great reviews. But I've never seen any system that polarizes it's users so much. With most clearo's the biggest difference is some love them and others think they're just okay. But with the nautilus it's either the best tank ever or the worst depending on who you ask.

I'm right there with you.. They are great when they work. But I'm about ready to quite vaping altogether with the inconsistent performance!.. Isn't that how the world does business? Hook em all with a good product, and make them cheaper. Bait and switch..

Whats the new atty flavor of the month?

It's the best and the worst tank i ever had..
At first it was really good and all i took with me..
But now it's like ,no matter what juice i use, there is always this certain taste that shows up with it..
It's like whatever is wrapping the coil is invading the taste..something like that..
i soak it for awhile plus pre-soak the coil..

maybe i got nautilus tank tongue?

I have to think people who are having issues are having vacuum problems within the tank. I snug down my coils pretty tight, top cap and chimney pretty tight, but when I screw the bottom cap on I only tighten it a little bit. Once I get some resistance I stop. I think snugging the bottom cap too tightly compresses the washer/gasket too much and you get air leakage, hence a bad vacuum seal. Without that vacuum, juice won't flow properly up the wicks.

I dont know about most of your concerns here.. But my concern is...

How high can I keep bumping the voltage up until I start producing formaldehyde?

Since my GF talked me into not turning my provari up past 4 volts.. I get a week at the most out of a atomizer instead of two.

I own both the Nautilus Mini and Atlantis from Aspire. I've been enjoying using them both in their own respects (Mini for Nicotine Liquids and Atlantis for High VG Based Juices). Since I've gotten them, I have tore them both apart and checked to see what the atomizers themselves look like. For the Atlantis, it uses Silica wicking, which isn't the greatest. Although the stock coils are good, you need to prime the coils before using them. Rinsing them under water is okay, but when you fill up your tank, make sure you cover the airflow holes and give it a couple of halls before vaping, this allows the liquid to really soak into the wick. I know it's been said before in the thread, but it really does help!

I love the Atlantis for blowing huge plumes, but the taste on my liquids is very mute with high vg. Still highly recommended :p
