Hello and welcome to the forum @nathan.olson. Glad to have you here!:)

If you want to try something different look at the eLeaf GS Air Series of tanks.

GS Tank

Tanks & coils are inexpensive (~$10). Two different Kanthal coils: 1.5Ω (8-20 watts) & 1.2Ω (8-30 watts). Both are dual coils. They can be purchased here: Sweet Vapes

I forgot to welcome you to the forum Nathan, damn rude of me!

Welcome!

Take some time to do some research on building, everything you need to know is on these forums.

Information on rebuilding tanks can be found here:

RTA

Coil Builds

It allows you to build to a vape that best suits your style and for me improved flavor. It will also reduce the expense a bit over buying coils but at times isn't as convenient as loading up a prebuilt coil. I always have some on hand for a quick setup.

This thread is specifically about the subtank.

And to learn more and to insure that you are building correctly check out this link, it's a nice calculator to assist hitting the correct build.

Hi and welcome. You're hearing good advice. If you decide to wind your own coils, I would recommend you buy a cheap clone dripper online and practice on that before you try it in the Kanger RBA deck. That's a small deck and not as easy to do as it might be. Learning how in a dripper is easier. Aside from that, the Kanger is a good choice.

Ok cool, I have never rebuilt, could you give me a little knowledge on that?
The tanks that @Marc411 mentioned are VERY good but they would require you to upgrade your mod. I vape my Subtank Mini (0.5Ω coil) at 40-45 watts and the UWell Crown (0.25Ω coil) at 80-90 watts.

These tanks are geared for D2L (direct-2-lung) vs MTL (mouth-2-lung) inhaling.

The Crown tank is a juice guzzler. If I used it all day I would vape 30 ml/day of juice.

Kanger sub tank mini
Yes, you can use (and/or build) higher Ω coils.

I believe the Subtank mini with one (1) each of the 0.5Ω coil & 1.2Ω coil. I purchased mine early this year and both my coils were the "horizontal coils".

Kangertech suggested operating range for their OCC coils. These are not "hard" numbers. You can vape "lower/higher" if you want.

Horizontal OCC Coils
0.5 Ω coils - 15 watts to 30 watts.
1.2 Ω coils - 12 watts to 25 watts.

Vertical OCC Coils
0.2Ω coils - x watts to 80 watts
0.5Ω coils - 15 watts to 60 watts
1.2Ω coils - 10 watts to 26 watts
1.5Ω coils - 10 watts to 26 watts

The Kanger 1.2 verticals are a good coil and will give you a nice vape but like any coil that is premade prime them and you'll get longer life out of each.

Vapor DNA has the Crown 1.2ohm coils, four pack for $12 and they are a reliable reseller.
Uwell Crown Replacement Coil

Now that all being said Susan is correct, the lower ohm coils drink liquid and 20 watts won't support the lower ohms. I've been using the same coil in one of my Crowns for 2 weeks and they flavor is still excellent. The Kanger I get a little over a week.

As long as you prime the coil and don't burn you cotton they have some decent life.
