I've been analog free since Feb 5 with the help of my Joye 510!!! I love this device but am now looking for something with at 3.7 volts. So much info that my head is spinning. What I need is protected batteries, something that doesn't look like a box or screwdriver and is compatible with my 510 atomizers. I'm concerned that eventually I'll be needing to replace my 510 batteries and what if the ban comes in and I really don't want to go back, EVER, to analogs. Anyway, what are your suggestions? Oh, would also like and on/off switch so I don't burn it out. Thanks for everything. My life is soo much better without the analogs!

Hi Keesie, I still fairly new as well. But have you looked into the Chuck or Little Chuck? That's what I've been considering ordering. He will customize it for you if you ask, and you can order it so it works with your 510 atty's. Like I said I'm still new and have a lot to learn, but you may want to look into that one. Good luck! I'll try posting the link to his website, check out some of the designs on the page that he's done!

A Laser mod is cheaper than a Tornado/Ego and replacement batteries (10440) are much cheaper. It hits harder than a 510 and lasts much longer. A good alternative if you want something small:

http://ikenvape192.corecommerce.com/Lazers-c8/

The BB is the next smallest in size mod that I recommend that I have. It is out of stock right now but they should be in soon, I believe:

AltSmoke | Personal Vaporizers - Ecigs The BB

The Little Chuck is a bit more powerful and bigger than the BB and you can have custom graphics:

THAG BUILT: A Wolf in Sheeps Clothing!

Any one of these paired with the new low resistance attys from Nhaler along with regular attys will set you up nice:

Low Resistance 510 Atomizers

These are out of stock ATM, but hopefully will be in stock soon. Also they will be available at Totally Wicked soon.

Just received my Laser today from Ikenvape. Your Joye 510 batts are around 150 mah for the manual, and 180 for auto. Mega batt for 510 is around 280 mah.

The sturdy built laser (for the price) runs a 10440 380mah battery, is sleek, stealthy, and performs excellent in comparison to a stock Joye batt.

My advice? Stick with the 3.7V and keep it simple. There are a lot of mods, high voltage, and slick stuff out there, and they are for the most part very good. For a minimum price you can step up to the next level and this product is solid for the money.

I know IkenVape just received another batch of Lasers and I've got a second one on the way. Grab the one with keychain and either remove it, or no. Take the chain off down to the the triangle peice that connects to the very end and you can wear this thing around your neck if you wish. The switch is very sturdy and takes some real pressure to activate. I think it would be very difficult to have it accidently go off while being placed in a jean pocket for instance.

Save your bucks and take the next baby step. It could be your last.

Keesie, I received a Tornado this week from Totally Wicked. Very sleek, manual switch, long battery life (protected batteries), compatible with 510, and huge plumes of vapor. I know there are a lot of opinions on this forum, but I don't think you would be disappointed with the Tornado.

Just got a Tornado myself. Can't recommend it enough. Just awesome. It's hard to believe I'm using the same atty that I just had on a 510.

Just curious whats a low resistance atty and how would I tell if Iwas ordering on will it actually say low resistance?

It is a 1.5 ohm atty that gives you a more powerful vape on a 3.7 battery (states that it should be 440 Mah or higher, but it works great on the laser that's 380 Mah).

Basically gives you a high voltage experience on a lower voltage battery without having to worry about the safety concerns of stacking batteries in HV mods.

It should say in the description that it's a low resistance atomizer.

Check specs here for something that fits the bill,

e-Cigarette modifications | e-Savuke.com

There are a bunch that accept a joye 510, either standard or as an option. Otherwise, pretty much every mod seller has adapters so you can use whatever atty you want on their device. From there you have to find what battery you want it to hold, a 10440 lasts a few hours, 14500 about a day or less, 18650's go longer than a day, and so on. Those are all the common 3.7 batts used in mods but there are a few in between. You want protected so just make sure the device is sold with protected batteries or it may not be able to fit them.

You already are on 3,7 volts...The tornado will act much the same as ur regular 510 (fully charged one) but the battery lasts a real good time and performs till the last draw.
If you really are afraid of the ban you should look up a really trusty device that will perform for years without too much of a maintenance.

That and the ability to use protected batteries, as you mentioned, should be your PV of choice.

If you can afford it (you will because it will save you money on the long run) and want a PV that accepts nearly every battery you can imagine, it's wireless (funny...), solderless, all mechanicall and GORGEOUS...you might want to check the GGTS.

You can vape at any voltage available, with almost any battery, get it the size of your palm...or way bigger. Very impressive "thing".

Ok, so where do I find this Ggts? Been looking around at the tornado, the protege (doesn't come with protected batteries) and laser mods. Can't decide. Is there one where I could buy a kit and not have to find the batteries or charger or anything else? I'm getting more confused now... Did I mention I also need a sealed battery compartment? I sometimes top off the carts too much and they leak. Thanks!

Vapor Kings - DSE801, DSE901, Joye510 and KR808D-1 e-Cigarette supplies sells the GG products in the US. The GGTS is a very nice (and expensive) device, but it's made in Greece, which might or might not be an issue if you need warranty service.

I use the Janty eGo (the Tornado is the same) and the BB mentioned above from AltSmoke. The eGo comes with batteries and charger, and uses its own special batteries just like the 510 does, The BB (manufactured in Ohio) can be purchased with batteries and charger, and uses a common 14500 battery that will never be banned. Both have sealed battery compartments.

Oops...my bad. Sry for nor giving the link. The GGTS or any other GG (you can get cheaper and awesome versions of GG's PV's) are handcrafted by Imeothanasis.
Don't worry about warranty or support. The GG range is sold by vaporkings and cloud9vaping depending on where you are. For USA it's vaporkings.

Everything about the GG range, including personal support from Imeo, can be found here on ECF The GG - E-Cigarette Forum .
Check it carefully and ask away. It is expensive at first sight but it is a work of art.

Both suppliers ( Lisa from cloud9vaping helps anyone regardless of where you buy) and the creator of GG himself are always available. No worries about that.

I mean...there are other great mods (VERY GOOD INDEED), but for a thing that cannot fail this is the one imho.

David at Super T Manufacturing makes some of the best mods out there, IMHO. He has the Precise, a small 3.7 volt device which uses a protected 10440 battery. He also has the Super 6 which can do 3.7 volts with a protected 14500 battery, or 6 volts with two unprotected CR2 batteries. If you want a quality PV that will last, they are worth a look. The batteries are all easy to come by and inexpensive. Both units are available for 510 atomizers.

Actually, no - Joye 510 stuff runs on 3.1v, not 3.7.
Which is why I'd suggest that the OP tries his 510s on true 3.7 first, a KR8 battery and an adapter would be a very cheap way to try. (And it can be reused with 901 atties, which do make for a nice change once in a while.)
