So... ive had this eliquid for 2 weeks. Theres this layer of yellow that always floats to the top.

Ive tried hotwater baths, leaving the cap off, refigeration, AND i made a shaker out of K'nex (like a paint shaker) and let it shake for 30+ mins before. Still it separates after an hour or so.

I wont name the company but when i ordered the liquid... i asked for them to mix in this "Ice hit" stuff. The website said it would give it a cool menthol taste without the mint. Ive ordered 4 other flavors from the same company in the past without the Ice Hit but simaler other perameters aka.. 80/20pg 24mg nic. So im leaning towards this Ice hit stuff as being the culprit.

I was thinking about taking a Qtip and dabbing it on the surface and tasting it but i wanted to get others hopefully more educated opinions before i tried this.

An interesting note... if i leave the juice sit in my tank and it separates the vape will taste fine. BUT if i shake the tank up and vape a few times it starts to taste burnt. This is my main problem really... not the OCD'ing over liquid separation but this burnt taste i get.

Thanks

I'd be contacting the company you bought this from to find out what is in the "ice hit". It sounds like it is oil based, which would separate from the eliquid no matter how much you shake, steep, or warm it up. It's not advised to Vape eliquid with oil based flavors. I'd contact them.

Thats a good idea I didnt think of it honestly. Because it could be oil based could it the stuff causing the burnt taste?

I normally use a aspire bdc but when i first started getting burnt hits i thought the coil was just old... well its a month old but i only vape 10ml in just under two weeks so they last me awhile... but i got my backup clearo and make a new coil for it so i know its not a old coil.

I had the same problem with one bottle of juice I received from Vapor God. They fought with me over it. Never ordered from them again and was a loyal customer....sorry but it wasn't my fault that they obviously did something different to make it separate that way...mine is still separated sitting in the cabinet....been almost a year since that happened. First and only time I've seen it until now.

when i mix a strawberry and a straight tobacco flavor from my B&M, both a 50/50 mix (that's all they sell) at 24mg, they separate into 2 distinct colors, kinda looks like a real pina colada with the color separation! shake it up until it is uniform in the bottle and it will do the same separation in the tank, looks cool, i just think the strawberry is thinner than the tobacco flavor and floats to the top. eventually after sitting in the tank, i see a reddish line going down the inside of the tank toward the bottom, so it is mixing, eventually.

can still taste it distinctly when vaping, just the color separation. i think it's kinda cool, and i know they don't use oil, just think it's lighter. if that can be.

The company replied....

"The ice hit it water based, could be the oil in the flavor you ordered."

Gah. I dont want to waste the nicotine so i guess ill find some waterbased flavor and mix it in. At least it was cheaper than what i can get at the B&M

Waste it. The explanation sounds worse than the photo. "...could be the oil in the flavor your ordered." You aren't supposed to be vaping oil based anything. If that's what they are selling you shouldn't be inhaling it to begin with.

Seriously, lose that liquid if they are implying they use oil based flavorings.

I figured that was it. Id get rid of it and chalk it up as a lesson learned. Don't buy from them again.

Agreed 100% and also I would say who the vendor is you ordered from, so none of us run into these idiots with a response like that. IMHO
