Hello All,

So I decided to try the eGo-T. Supposedly it is brand new, got it in the mail 2 days ago. I'm a bit confused as there's no consistency at all between even subsequent drags when it comes to flavour strength, throat hit and vapor. Sometimes, nothing at all. And yes: Battery is on, fully charged, and tank is full. Thoughts? Is there anything that I'm missing? Or could this be an old, used kit and I've been ripped off? At its best drag, I still would like to see more vapor & throat hit. Any suggestions? I've heard something about LR, but I'm not really sure what that is.

Also, I've been hearing about folks mixing PG/VG to get a stronger throat hit + more vapor. Could someone please elaborate as to how I can go about mixing that myself? Do I need to buy PG, VG, + flavour separately and mix accordingly? Any dos and/or donts?

Thanks,
Zewda

I'm a new vapor myself, and decided to go with the eGo-T as my first PV (Personal Vaporizer). I would also like to get into mixing my own juices, but for now, I'm so overwhelmed with the world of vaping, that I have decided to go with a few pre-mixed juices with different ratios and different strengths and flavors to decide on what I would like to use as my "daily vape". I used to smoke at least one pack of Newports a day, and since I got my first e-cig, about 10 days ago, I haven't smoked one analog cigarette since!! So far I've learned that when buying juices, less is more. I would stick to getting only 5ml bottles to try out different mixes and different flavors. I decided to go with 24ml nic strength from the start because of how many analogs I was having per day, but I know there are alot of websites out there where they offer pre-mixed juices with different PG to VG ratios. I would have to recommend trying some different ratios out in 5ml bottle form and seeing if you are any more satisfied with the outcome!! Alot of information is at HowtoVape.com - and I've been getting all my juices and accessories from Liberty-flights.com because they offer PayPal as a payment method! Hope anything in this rant helps you!! Happy Vaping!!

Guys if you are having problems with the vapor production on the eGo-T then I would recommend just using a regular eGo setup with a drip tip/510 atty/cone. You already have the battery. I had the same problem myself, just never really produced enough vapor for me...you will find many others who had the same experience. But then there are also some who are big fans of it so who knows...comes down to personal preference I guess.

Tanks generally like PG w/ 30% VG or less so it will wick well

Some thinner 50/50 juices may work ok (some you may need to thin with a few drops of distilled water)

PG - thin, lets through flavor, nicotine TH and nicotine irritation the best

VG - thick, dulls/smooths everything PG lets through and adds thicker visible vapor

Thanks everyone, this is helpful. One more question on mixing....If I have an already pre-mixed juice where I'm not entirely sure of the PG/VG % mix....is it safe to add PG and or VG with same nic. strength to it and try? The pre-mixed juice produces very thin vapor, I'm tempted to say it's all PG....so I'm thinking I would like to add a bit of VG. Would that work?

If the juice is thin already then it doesn't need PG added. 100% PG should work as should PG with up to 30% VG.

Most juice sellers state their PG/VG or let you choose it. The thing tanks don't like it too thick juice which doesn't wick fast enough. I would not add VG if you are getting inconsistent drags. Where is the juice from?

And I don't use tanks. But I know some people have to mess with repositioning the wick? Hopefully someone who uses tanks successfully can help you.

There are also wick adjustments you can make on the T tanks. There are YT videos about it. It sounds to me like you aren't getting what you need from the tanks. I didn't either. I ended up putting an eGo Mega Dual Coil Carto on mne and have never looked back. Even tried VV, but to me it just didn't compare. That EMDCC will make your eGo t come alive.

I couldn't get into t-tanks either. The most consistent vapor for me comes from a LR cartomizer. They last longer than dripping and when the performance drops you can throw it away or if you're highly motivated (unlike me), clean it. Longer battery life helps too but that would require purchasing a mod.

As for the PG/VG ratio, it's mostly personal preference imo. People like different things so you could experiment with that too.

As for low resistance (LR), it gets a bit hotter than regular resistance. It's a warmer, fuller sensation. It helps a lot with the throat hit.

I use 90/10 Pg to VG sometimes 80/20 in my ego-t its a pretty consistent hit until the atomizer heating element needs to be dry burned as it gunk's up after a while but takes more than a few days as a note. I use the low resistant atomizers as i find that its easier to take a drag for me using them , the regular atomizers that came with the kit for me were a little harder to drag on and i do not use those anymore.
Did you get an extra atomizer with your setup and if so try it to see if its better than the one your using.
My atomizers were in plastic sealed when i had bought them.

I recommend you try some Boge 510 cartomizers and learn to use them (3 ohm is just a bit warm on Ego and easier to learn on, 2.0 ohm is hotter and will use charge up a bit faster). Then try more complex cartos.

If nothing else, cartos will be a great backup while cleaning atomizers etc. Only put juices you know you like in cartos. You can use a normal 510 atomizer and drip tip (or a tank and tank atty) to test juices.

I tried a SMOK cart an it tastes like poly and is a bit harsh on my throat. I found that just using thinner juice the ego-t works really well. With some thin juice I can get better hits off it than the SMOK dual coil cart.
