Help for getting throat hit without nic

I was a smoker for 30 yrs & have been vaping for a little over a year. I'm vaping at 14 mgs. nic. I've been diagnosed with the beginnings of arteriosclerosis recently, which is the hardening of the arteries of your heart. Nicotine supposedly is not good and I've been told to quit. sighhhhh.....So I'm trying to figure out how I can cut back on my nicotine and somehow get to zero nicotine eventually but still get a throat hit somewhat. I have EverClear and Vodka. Is there a way I can somehow get down to zero nic but use one of those liquors to simulate the throat hit I will be missing from not having my nic and if so, what amount do I use in my DIY mix? Thanks for any help. I am so not looking forward to doing this but I really need to.

Thanks alot for that link, Fiamma. It looks very interesting. I will have to try that. I guess I could add some of my own flavors to it. I was sort of hoping to use the tons of stuff I already have to make my own though, if possible. It would be alot cheaper and I still have alot of VG, PG and flavors. I guess it will take some playing around with.

Yes, I fully agree with Fiamma in above post. Using it and going beyond 3 drops of Flash in 1 ml base; I will cough a lot when vaping.
When using 2 drops in 1 ml base it’s nice for me and no coughing. And it's tasteless; you can add yr own flavours.

Menthol also adds some (extra) throathit.

Oh, I didn't quite understand how you use it. So you can add a few drops to your base? That is much better sounding to me. I thought it was ready to vape like it is. I'm going to definitely have to get some then. Thanks alot! whew. I'm really getting nervous about getting off the nic after being hooked on nic for over 30 yrs.

Well, I mean I can use 2 drops per ml of whatever I am making? Now that is not bad at all and it would go a long ways then. I guess I bought Everclear for nothing. lol. I'm not into menthol. I had read you can use menthol but I just don't like it and can't vape it.

Yes, 2-3 drops per ml of PG/VG mix with yr flavouring. It works best as nicotine booster and gives yr vape some extra bite. As nic-replacement.... nic is nicer, but if you are not allowed to use it, this is better as just nothing. Vaping it undiluted will after a few vapes 1) burn yr throath out and 2) after that you will coughi yr lungs up... :maybe some tough italian guys can handle it, LOL

Thanks. I've also found that the organic flavors that are alcohol based seem to have more of a throat hit too. I've been vaping on COV's 100% VG and never thought I would be a VG person, but they have some pretty amazing throat hit due to the alcohol base in their flavors.
