Ok, I've been doing a lot of research on vaping, still gotta learn a lot, so....I am thru with the cancer sticks, and thru with that awful ego twist vision spinner two, I can't get an all day battery charge, and the evod kanger that my back up burns the coils in a day....so I went and got an I stick 30 watt battery yesterday hoping it will keep up, it's a get by unit.....I can tell already. But I like the size and it will be kept for back up.....and I'm using an aspire nautilus tank.

The first problem is juice, it's too harsh, I mean it can hurt my throat so I bombed from an 18 to 12 now a 6. 6 is too weak but I'm just day one.....

Now, I've been wanting to get into sub ohms now that I know what it is and need to choose a device, money is an issue at this time, I don't have a lot to spare yet I don't want to keep replacing mods....
I looked at the new joy tech evoic, and it looks fantastic, and I like the price, and also kanger sub mini, I like the joy thick better, and am really really leaning that way......
Anyone has one? What do you think?

Plus I want an easy easy tank that won't leak.......

Please help me choose my next mod.

The kanger subtank is a great way to try out sub ohm coils and to learn building your own coils on, it's very versatile. It'll also work fine on your istick. Its not the best subtank or the best rebuildable tank, but it's good for trying out both! Let's you find what you like and go from there!

With it, you'll definitely want to keep your nic level somewhat low, your 6ish should be perfect.

HI bamagirl88. I have a few of the Subtank Mini's and love them. You could easily get one of these tanks and use it on your 30 w iStick until you decide what direction you want to go, or if sub ohms is for you. I am a mouth to lung vaper and the first thing I did was buy a cheap drip tip and replace the wide bore that comes with the tank. I use the single normal sized hole for air as I enjoy a tighter vape in mouth to lung.

There are so many new tanks and mods out now it's wonderful. Recently I have gotten away from the contained battery and gone to the mods that you replace the batteries and use a separate battery charger for recharge. It's more expensive, but in the 2 battery mods you're getting 5000 mah (2 X Samsung 25r 18650) before having to worry about recharge/replace the batteries, and not tethered to a usb cable.

Really the only suggestion I can offer is to look here for some sales :

DEALS and STEALS - Deals and Steals | E-Cigarette Forum (go to last couple pages)
FORUM SUPPLIERS - ECF Forum Suppliers | E-Cigarette Forum
COUPONS - Stores - ECF E-Cigarette Coupons

Here's a link for the newest Subtank Mini's :
SUBOX TANK MINI SUBTANK BLACK OR WHITE $32.99 WITH FREE SHIPPING - Vape Super Saver They also have the last version in silver for $29.

Good luck in your decisions.

Maybe I'm going out on a limb here... BUT...

If you are finding the vape harsh, perhaps that's because of the 1. the power 2. the nicotine and 3. the PG/VG ratio.

Getting bigger and better mods might not be the answer.

Can you not acclimatize yourself with a regular tank with the iStick? get the right blend of nicotine and PG/VG.. ??

An Evic 'this' and ultra-subohm 'that' would be more of a nightmare to me than a blessing. Seems like an expensive gamble to me.

I agree, the mods may not be the problem all together.....the battery life on the spinner was awful.....that was one issue, I chain vape so....I couldn't get a lifespan out of that.....
I'm playing with the voltage, on my vape setting....is 3.5 too high?

As far as the harshness.....18 mgs became was too high, then 12 did ......on some liquids, and not on others....as far as mods go, I need battery life.

So, any suggestions? Is it my liquid, or am I setting it wrong.

I think setting the wattage might be easier for now instead of voltage. Click the power button 3 times and your in wattage mode. Its like cruise control. To much throat hit is most likely the PG from what you said. Try a higher VG like 70/30. Start low on the wattage and bump it up until you like the way it vapes. What tank are you using?

The lower mgs took a lot of the harshness away too.....and I know it's not the coils they're new, I always check and keep up that part, could it be my tank? However I like this tank.....

And yes, I don't want to keep up buying new equipment....that's why I'm asking here, however when I tested a friends sub ohm kanger on my type of I stick it was a HUGE IMPROVEMENT....and my son has a huge mechanic mod and his is way way better tasting then mine....that's why I think of the mod.....

Now, my son says I'll burn a kanger sub ohm tank up on this I stick, he says it's not powerful enough.....

I'm so confused with everyone's different opinion, and again this isn't anything I'm gonna be buying this week per say, but I know I want one because I like playing with technology, so it's not gonna be long before I get one

A spinner at 3.5v is quite low power vaping (i.m.o.) even with a 1.8ohm atomizer which was considered in the lower resistance range not so long ago (a few years..)

There is no reason whatsoever for there to be a problem using a subtank on an iStick... so I don't know what to say to that part of your planning. The only combo that won't work is the 0.5ohm atomizer (OCC, Coil, head) on the 20w iStick. Nobody in the know would buy a 20w iStick anyway... they are unreliable (too long to explain).

Ok, I thought I could, my sons been vaping on a Provari and some huge mod.......we started me on the spinner to see if I liked vaping, well I love love love it......so I moved up, and doing some research, the spinner was awful. I blew thru battery in three four hours, I was frustrated with that....and, I wanted something I could grow into.....

Plus I love the way the joy tech look......I think it's sweet......and I found a kit for 55 and another thing......clouds, I can out blow my son and friends on a spinner.....clouds are fun

Ummmm that's the problem I chain vape, I go thru four tanks per day.....or more I've dropped a aspire mini in a vape session, I've got a sickness I tell you, but remember I've been smoking two to three packs per day....I've smoke away a village, and I'm know to smoke cigars.......

But vaping is not like cig.....I want flavor, I like the vaping itself, the experience....not like a cig at all....it's opposite in my mind......

I have a Subtank mini v2 on an istick 30w. I use the rba. I have zero issues, it's a great vape. I am about to hit 6months cig free. I don't care for much throat hit. I stay away from cinnamon and citrus flavors because they tend to have more of a throat hit. I vape 6mg nic whether I subohm or not. Most of my juice is 50/50 blend though I do have some higher vg blends because I occasionally enjoy clouds when dripping. ;)
There is nothing wrong with vaping all day. The first month or two of vaping, my Device was attached to me!! Now, I can walk away for hours without vaping. I also suggest watching YouTube. There are many great channels. Some of my favs are: Ruby Roo, Grimm Green, Tia Vapes, Indoor Smokers. Ruby & Grimm do great hardware reviews and Tia does great juice reviews :)

I love my ipv4s with silo beast. The silo comes with both a 1.2 ohm and a .5 in the kit so you don't like sub ohm you can always switch the coil it also has a top fill so easy and quick to fill without removing from your mod I find that the .5 fires great at 25-35 watts without problems so will work with your current mod once you upgrade you can always change to a ni200 coil and give temp control a shot. I got mine at my local vape shop for 45 but you can get online for cheaper. Take a look at the ipv4s as well love it has power or joules mode and fires up to 120w on power 50j on nickel or 100j on titanium forgot to mention holds 5ml or can purchase a 2.5ml shorty if needed
