Ok, I've been reading all this on here and now I'm a little confused. Please excuse my lack of knowledge. What is an atty and a atomizer? Also, I would like to purchase a 501 kit. Where (finally) is THE absolute BEST place to go to (online) to purchase a COMPLETE kit? I'm really excited about this whole e-cig craze! I'm getting some for friends for Xmas!! Thanks to all and any who can help me!

Atomizer = that part that vaporizes the liquid, made up of a coil where the electrodes are connected to the battery by the threads and center piece where you screw it into the battery (aka 'batt') and an 'atomizer bridge' which is the raised area when you look down the tube of the atomizer casing. The bridge has a fiber material (don't pull on that) and a metal mesh and sometimes metal mesh at the base that absorbs fluid.

Atty - short for atomizer

510 kits come in various configurations - here's a few:

Basic starter kit - 1 batt, 1 atty, some cartridges (carts), charger

Joye Dura-C 510 Mini Essentials Kit - freshsmoking.com

'Starter kit' - 2 batts, 2 attys, 5 carts, charger (basically two ecigarettes)

Joye Dura-C 510 Manual Switch Starter Kit - Black - freshsmoking.com
Joye 510 with PCC

Starter kit with PCC - same as starter kit above but with a PCC (personal charging case) which is a case that can hold some carts and a cart and an atty, and a place to charge the ecig battery. The case has an internal battery that you first charge via a mini usb port for 4 hours. You can then disconnect it and travel with it. YOu can do about 5 charges of your ecig batt while 'on the go'. IOW, it will likely last you from 8-12 hours depending on how much use.

Cignot has sold out of the PCC kit, it appears.

Starter kit with Passthrough - starter kit with a corded device that plugs into a usb port and has an inline battery and a 510 battery casing where you screw in the atty and cart. This way no battery charging needed but you're tethered to it so good for at the computer, watching tv, in the car (usb wall and car plugs available)

Some vendors add other stuff, juice, extra attys, etc. That should give you an idea.

Yes, I also started with the Health-E-cigarette, just to see if e-cigs really worked before investing in a real kit and all the extras. It was a great starter to make all the mistakes on.
When I realized what a treasure vaping was, I jumped right in and got some good stuff. (Thanks to this forum and all these wonderful folks!!)

Now I have a vaping arsenal and a smile on my face. No more analogs..... at last.

Took me three tries to find the right one, but I found it! For consistant taste, throat hits, and ease of use, I don't think you can beat the VaporKing from Vapor4Life. Truth is I don't want to blow my attys, use a straw or teabag, drip on the atty, or constantly top off the cart. I want to put the cart on and vape, and get good taste and satisfaction. I get that and more from my VK.

I have NEVER dealt with a company that has treated me so well - Steve has outstanding customer service down to a fine science! I just can't say enough about VaporKing or Vapor4Life!

I wish I had found it first, but I found it and that is all that matters! ;)
