Hey ECF amigos I just learned the lesson "you get what you pay for" with my trident clone today, although it was probably my fault trying to put some twisted wire into those tiny slits (which I learned I don't much care for), I didn't pry it open or anything drastic but I did "gently" shove them in there with a small flat-head screw-driver :D, thus it broke when I put the pain-in-the .... cap back on. Now I only have 1 positive and 1 negative post for my single coils, which is fine for the time being because I usually prefer single coils anyway. But long story short I'd like to see if you guys can give me advice on a new high quality rda.

I'll start by telling you guys my preferences which are: alot of room to work with, at least 3 "hole" style posts (symmetical too), and nice functional design, I'm not in the least worried about looks just the vapor that goes in my mouth. Airflow control would be nice just for the option of multiple or single coil, but I've found I usually stick with the widest option, and have many drill bits at home so I can take care of that. The trident was very much loved but I didn't much care for the slit design as I'd have to take off and putt back on the tiny phillips caps, and I have big hands so I usually feel like a gorilla doing surgery :p, I have pretty steady/skilled hands but they cant always get into nooks and crannys if you know what I mean.

So here's some examples of some I'm already looking at from hours of heart-pumping research (literally, I imagine buying them and it gets me excited lol) to give you an idea of what I'm looking for (however if you have these and recommend them please do so, or if you don't for that matter).

#1.The Brass Monkee: I'm almost sold on this one already, it has alot of room and that beautiful t-post design for the builders in mind, you can cram alot in there and it has adjustable airflow as well.
Brass Monkee Rebuildable Atomizer by Standard Functions RBA RDA | eBay
#2. The Zenith V2: I'm drooling over this one  but not over the $120 price, It's got an amazing design for posts, chamber, airflow, made from the best materials (it's got a silver plated connector ), and even looks good, it's pretty near me too in Cali so I wont have to wait for shipping (I'm in Alaska).
Zenith V2 RDA - YouTube
#3 & #4 Helios/Atomic clones: Yes I may buy a clone again because they're just too cheap to pass up, if I go this route I'll probably get both just to have a backup/try them both out. I looove the Helios's design but they are too expensive for the originals now (same with atomic), and like how the Atomics posts are nice and high off the deck with ample room. I'm sure many of you own these two so if you recommend let me know, I've had my eye on the helios for so long, it just looks a pro RDA that you can change like a pit-stop.
Helios Clone RBA - Kidney Puncher

Any you guys recommend? I'm totally open to suggestions/complaints :D, would really appreciate it as I have my finger on the trigger!

I like my igo w but I have keg cap on it( The Keg Cap by Vapor Craze ) so that makes it a tad nicer. That Brass monkee looks pretty sweet if I was in the market for an 80.00 dollar dripper I would be all over that bad boy.

I was really thinking about an igo w3 but I think I'd feel like I'm not using it's 5 posts to their potential :p, I'd probably only have it in dual coils half the time anyway. I like the keg cap thats awesome! I bet it looks sweet, and I know it vapes sweet because my friend blows clouds with it! haha I think the w-2 looks pretty cool too, but I hear its a pain to build in.

(Believe me I think 80 is too much for a billet of metal myself lol but I'm planning to buy one for a few years so I want it to last)

Hmm, I can't tell "which" Helios clone Kidney Puncher is selling there. I have the EHPro one, and I like it quite a bit. The dual positive post holes are very handy for simplifying a dual coil build (although a single coil build rocks on it, too). Huge building area, too. Oh, and also important to you, The post holes are a good size for easy wire feeding. AFC is a plus, too for such an inexpensive piece (although I keep 'er pretty closed, anyway, but YMMV). Good $20 spent, IMHO.

Thanks for the input that really helps! It's hard to tell whether it has alot of build room or not by going off online pics, I'll definitely go with the EHPro one then, because I don't want the fast-tech version by mistake lol. And yeah I don't think I'll be "cramming" any wires in anymore :p, I like 28ga anyway I just happened to be experimenting with braided 28ga  it lit up cool in another RDA though. Thanks again Hyaptia :D

Brass Monkey for my $ great to build various ways and a vicious vape

I agree that thing looks sweet. But I've already blown 500.00 on vape gear in the last 2 weeks (Russian coop and a provari and several fasttech orders) so I'm trying to slow her down until this summer at least. I did bookmark the monkee!!

I noticed you were looking at an Atomic CLONE, as well. My brother has an authentic one and LOVES it. I haven't seen his in person, but I put good faith in what he says, he knows FAR more than me WRT RDA's. Who's carrying the Atomic clones? I'm highly interested.

EHPro Atomic Stainless Steel RDA (These guys are, it's an EHpro clone too :) ) It definitely may be something to think about for me too, it's pretty much a rockstar in the vaping world so I don't doubt that it's awesome.

p.s. don't try braided 28ga lol micro coils are where it's at I agree, I've even been liking nano-coils when I muster the courage to make them.

If you can stomach the price, an authentic Helios or Atomic would make a great addition to your arsenal. I have both and am very pleased. However if you prefer single coils, I wouldn't get the Helios unless you get a 3rd part cap because the Helios cap only has dual air holes. The Atomic is a great little atty though, the deck is pretty small (still plenty big enough to build on) so you get nice concentrated flavor which if you're building single coils will help out a lot.

I actually like two (smaller than max usually) air intake slots even when I single coil, I actually love the vape I get with dual it's just sometimes I want to wrap that one perfect coil and not deal with one coil stealing juice from another, or have twice the probability for a dry hit. I think if you have two holes combined to make the size of your preferred single hole it just makes more turbulence for vapor production, I have been liking my denser warmer vapes lately though so I may become a dual feind soon :p.

Thanks for your input I think I'm actually going to give up on clones all-together because first impressions are last impressions and that trident didn't last a week (well it lasted 8 days but still lol), my next purchase will be an authentic atomic because I love its looks, design (and how beefy it looks too, you get what you pay for in steel), like you said it can do single coil better, and your and everyones helpful opinions swayed me to it :D but for now I have the brass monkee on it's way!

I looked at that Atomic clone you linked. Yeah, I'd get the real deal, myself. Almost $40 for something that just doesn't look close to $40? No thanks. Yeah, might as well spend $90 for what ya know will be a smashing success (or at least resaleable for close to what ya paid, should you not like it).

I'm with you on clones. I bought a cloned IGO-L when I first started with RBAs, it rusted within a week...
You will not be disappointed with the Atomic, it works like a champ and looks great. It's one of my favorites, if it looked as good as the Omega on top of my Nemesis it would be my most used atty. I think the atomic will work great for you, it's capable of single/dual 1, 1.5, 3mm air holes, and you can always partially cover the hole if you want something in between.
