So, being an idiot, I accidentally used the wrong drill bit for the air hole on my RSST and overdrilled it to crap. Is there ANYWHERE I can get just the top caps?
Not sure on where to get the caps, but if you know any greasemonkeys you can probably get someone to refill the hole with a few blasts of a tig welder then start over with the correct bit. Any exhaust shop should have a tig welder if they do stainless steel exhausts.
Use a dab of JB SteelStik to fill the hole, and then re-drill to the proper size when it cures. I used this stuff to plug an air hole on DID clone where it was misaligned and it worked well. Since it is NSF certified for drinking water after it's cured, I imagine it should be safe to use.
Also, I'm in the same boat... I drilled the hole of my RSST out to 2mm, and it's just way too airy and the flavor is muted. I plan on attacking that project tonight.
