Okay, more appropriately, I suck and suck and suck and... not much happens.

Let me explain. My husband and I first purchased the Blu cig last year. We tried it out for a couple of weeks, but it was more of a hassle than it was worth. The cartridges went out way too fast. We were barely getting one or two cigarettes worth of puffs before we were on to the next one.

So we sent it back (after a LOT of customer service issues), and purchased a local(?) ecig kit called Crown Seven. Then we discovered the same issues with that. The cartridges only last a few puffs, then there is nothing. The batteries still work, you can feel it getting warm in there, but no vapor... no satisfaction. After a while, we lost interest. Put the ecigs away and went back to regular cigs.

Recently, I pulled out the kit again because I REALLY want to quit smoking. Used it last night and it was great. Then this morning, again... no vapor. It lights up, I feel heat, but no vapor.

I haven't tried purchasing juice yet. I'm just using the prefilled cartridges that came with the kit. Does juicing it yourself give a different effect? Does it last longer than prefilled cartridges (perhaps as long as at least one cigarette)? Can I use these cartridges if I do purchase liquid, or are there different cartridges that I need to buy in order to use juice?

Please help! I really want this to work!!

First of all, don't give up!!

Secondly, I'd suggest getting a GOOD kit...take a look at a 510 kit from Cignot. Their prices are great and the ship very quickly, I've heard. Then, buy yourself some liquid so you can refill it yourself.

Pre-filled cartridges are notoriously bad, they CLAIM they're equivalent to PACKS of cigarettes, but they're only good for perhaps 1 or 2 cigs worth..if THAT!!

And, when you make your purchase, make sure it's A MANUAL kit!! The auto's are notoriously 'problematic' for some.

Good luck and if you have problems, just pop on here and ask..there's always SOMEONE hanging around ECF!! :)

I'm a newb too, and started with the Joye 510. It's been pretty good, and have been filling my own cartridges. Found that 2 drops of juice is about eq to 1 analog. Venustar, you may also want to try the drip method where you take out the filler in the cartridge and just add a couple of drops of e-juice directly to your atty, then puff away! I'm also checking out cartomizers, which are like mega volume cartridges. Anyway, you should check out ordering your own e-juice, cartridges or cartomizers. I think you will find more satisfaction. Also, I have tried propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerine (VG) bases for my juice. PG is drier and gives more throat hit (TH) IMO, and a little more flavor too. Unfortunately, the PG can also give you a sore throat. E-juice samplers from AmericanELiquids are a good way to try different juices, and their customer serrvice is awesome! Good luck!

510 kit, juice, extra battery and attys, and you tube how to's (or this forum!:))

these are the things you need!!!! A 510 has a great consistent hit.

and prefilled carts are rarely any good for the reason you mentioned with blu(they dont last) get some juice and always have an extra atty, juice and some batteries on you.

seems like a hassle, but youll get used to it quickly and soon it will be just like making sure you have a lighter and pack on you.

youll be so glad you did!!!

welcome to the forum! youve come to the right place for great advice.

once you get going with what were telling you... youll throw downthe pack and never look back!

I agree with a 510 and you wont find a better set of ladies than at cignot.com Vicki and Terri ROCK !!!!!!!

Those ladies at Cignot ARE absolutely incredible!!

Agree w/ Domino's post that prefilled carts have a notorious reputation...best to fill your own or move on to dripping. I own 510's and swear by them, but the KR808D-1 is also a great unit. These are the two most popular units among the members...that should speak for itself. For a comparison, read

I wouldn't recommend a 510 with cartridges to any new vaper, especially one that had troubles with the blu. Trust me my brother did this. Here is how I fixed his issues.

Cartridges are just a pain in the ..., and smokers are looking for the quick fix. The blu can use the 510 Cartomizers!! Get some and some juice to your liking and search YouTube on "How to fill Cartomizers". This will fix your issues without having to spend more than like $20.00 and what at most 5 minutes on youtube?

Then when you are analog free, saved some of your hard earned $$ from not wasting it on analogs, look into getting a better device for you and your husband.

Just my $0.02 - but the above info has helped many of my friends (6 or so) that bought blu products.

GL to ya, If i can do it, I am sure you can!

www.vaporkings.com should have all the gear you need. Plenty of discount coupons for them as well. I have no affiliation with them, I just bought their products that happened to lead me to quit smoking and taking my life back =D

Dripping is great! And the 510 is awesome :) If you buy from cignot (and I get all my 510 hardware from them) then add a bottle of their BASIC range of juice rather than the 'other PG' or 'dekang' as its way more flavorful. Refilling your own carts is a lot cheaper overall, with jsut a little learning curve.
However I wouldn't agree with the poster who said that 2 drips=1 cig - they jsut aren't comparable - and anyway that would mean 1 cart = a pack of cigs which just isn't true. If it was true then we are all using the equivalent of about 10 packs of cigs a day, which is crazy lol.

I didn't like my 510 at all. Too much to learn and look up. I work third and go to school during the day, so i didnt have the time to keep messing with it all the time. I had a 510 from cignot (which is a great place just not my kind of PV). I got a new one from Vapor4life (kr808) and couldn't be happier. I love cartomizers so much more-just so much easier to fill and maintain! Getting the eGo with some cartomizers and hopeing for the best. Good luck!

trust me go with cartomizers, if you get the kr808 from v4L etc, you will have a very good battery (in comparison to the crappy 510 battery) and you will have the option of low resistance cartomizers that will produce more vapor and flavor. However if you plan on going to mods in the future then maybe some 510 cartos would be up your alley, and maybe an ego? There is 1 person i know of selling low resistance 510 cartomizers but they're a little pricey

I started with a Volcano (basically the same thing as the Blu) and wondered why the hell people were so stoked on vaping. I gave up after a few weeks, just using it in my dorm room when I was too lazy to put on pants to go outside for a smoke. But every day between classes-- still lighting up cigarette after cigarette.

Then with my tax return money I ordered a kr808d-1 kit from Vapor4Life, and I knew that it wasn't vaping-- it was just the model. I love it, and especially with the passthrough, it works consistently and performs great. I stick with pre-filled carts for the most part, and the flavor selection is awesome. I'm not telling you to get that particular model, but I'd say definitely do some research and invest a little more into a more powerful model that's aimed toward serious vapers.
