The info on that webpage is completely wrong. You should NOT use an eGo charger (420 ma) to charge these batteries, as that would destroy them.

You should use a Joye 510 charger that is rated at 150 ma, like this one - Joyetech Joye 510 USB Charger

As for the Joye 510 atomizer, it depends on the resistance of the atomizer. Anything under 2.5 ohms would be pushing that little battery too hard.

I'm not sure what they are saying, exactly, but they may have a point. You said you had a 510 Joye wall charger--that is different from the USB charger they are recommending. No idea, on paper it should work, but one never knows with fakes... At least there are no reverse polarity issues since they are recommending eGo chargers.

And yes, I agree with spaceballs--I wouldn't charge a 280 mAh battery with a 420 mAh charger...

ok cool. that is what would make sense from what i've been reading because they're 280 mah so i'm fine. i contacted them and if you want to read it here it is (you don't have to but they were steering me wrong) good thing i like to think i have a brain. Help Desk

Well, they mention a USB MINI charger....is there a mini USB port on the end of the battery?

Don't ask me... I've never heard of a mini USB 420 mAh chargers. :D

But this is what Joye wall charger looks like--maybe those batteries won't fit???? I really have no idea.

The "Joye 510 wall charger" is a box with an AC cord that plugs directly into it. The hole the battery fits into is recessed, so an eGo battery cannot even be attached to it. That is the charger you need to use on those batteries.

DO NOT try to charge them using an eGo USB type dongle. The batteries will vent or explode.

Ok so I bought 8 batteries from China, I know stupid, but I don't think I'll be able to charge them. New ! 510 Manual Battery (280mAh) [03-B-3-5] - $5.39 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail that's what I bought. Now can anyone tell me if 1. Can I charge them with joye 510 wall charger. 2. Use joye 510 atomizers with them?

Aw sheesh - I just looked. That's a clone of the Kanger E-Smart battery. They sold you a battery with a "none of the above" charger option.

It won't fit a Joyetech 510 charger - the one that Katya posted a picture of. And it ABSOLUTELY CANNOT be charged on an eGo 420 mA battery charger. HealthCabin is usually pretty good but they got this dead wrong.

Kanger makes a low current charger for that battery. It looks like an eGo charger dongle but has a much lower output current than 420 mA. The Golden Rule is you never put more charge current into a battery than it's designed to put out. Charging a 280 mAh battery with a 420 mA output charger - WRONG! Battery go boom!

Way to go Healthcabin!

So the first charger I linked should be the one, then.

alright thank you. last time i order from china. guess i'll just have to wait and see.

Ordering from China is fine. The mistake you made was not buying something that had a specific brand in the name of the item. Next time, be sure it specifically states Joyetech, Kanger, Smoktech, Vision, etc. in the name and you should be fine. Clones are a real PITA.

lol thank you spaceballs. you guys have tried hard :) it was my own damn fault. and i have that wall charger in case it works. if not they're garbage anyway. thanks all.

Don't throw away that charger yet. If your 510 no-brand batteries turn out to be junk, just buy a couple of genuine Joye 280 mAh batteries and use them with your wall charger. ;)

Yeah, worse comes to worst, you can pick up the USB charger for $5. No biggie. Best of luck! :D
