Help: Iclear 16 not firing on Smoktech VV battery but firing on Joyetech Ego battery

edit: Fixed- center pin of the iclear was pushed in, pulled it back out with tweezers. Of note, I think the original joyetech batteries have a higher center pin, which pushed back on the pin in my iclear, making it not work on the smoktechs.

Last night my Iclear16 seemed dead on my two smoktech winder/vv batteries, the coil was not firing at all.

I confirmed the smoktech batteries still work because they're fine with my kanger protank.

The Iclear16 is working on my old joyetech ego batteries which i'm using as backup.

Why would the iclear be working on one battery but not another?


This started happening after I put the Iclear on one of the old joyetechs, and I was thinking maybe the old joyetech pushes the iclear's center pin back a little, and that I should pull it out a bit with some pliers, but I could be completely wrong.

Sounds like a center pin issue. Make sure the coil unit is fully tightened to the base on the clearo then pull out the pin on the clearo for the Smoktech batts.

It was the center pin, thank you. I found some good tweezers, gave it a tug and it was back to normal.

its frustrating to have that problem... It happened with my vamo so much that it just sits in the drawer at home
