Let me qualify my comments in that I am not familiar with the Novice Hybrid, and had never heard of it until Googling it after your inquiry. The review comments on the OKC website did have the following caution about a potential safety issue:

"One word of caution - dont tighten the body tube down too tight. Crank down on it and it will fire without the button being pushed, locked or not. The rubber grommet will compress and battery will complete circuit if you tighten the body tube too tight. Snug it until you get some resistance, then stop."

Both mods appear to be well designed and manufactured. I've been a fan of Super T Manufacturing products for a long time, although I haven't had the good fortune to own one. If it was me and my own money, I'd go with the Precise Simplicity just based on its looks and knowledge of the manufacturer.

In addition, I believe the novice is a hybrid dripper, whereas the simplicity has a 510 connection for a wider range of delivery devices.

I have both and like both. The Novice is great, the tiniest setup I own, and you get your RDA included in your $100. The Precise Simplicity is in another league though, in terms of both design and build quality. It's a pretty insane value for the price, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I don't quite get that safety concern with the Novice. The two ends of the tube screw together like a telescoping mod. It's very similar to the Sturm, but instead of telescoping out to take a 14650 battery, the Novice tubes screw down together as if they could take a shorter 14xxx battery. That's a pretty serious O-ring in there - I'm pretty sure I'd have to have help and tools to be able to twist those tubes enough to make the negative end of the battery hit the firing switch.

Hrm, you can add a Penelope or Spheroid to the Super-T also, Flush look. Not to mention genesis's (mini or mini micro doc dave / helfire mini. etc) RDA's galore. Including a fatty. Super -T wins.

Check out the ba gua, and the pisces mini since you're interested in that size. both are pretty good mods.
