hi greetings everyone!

i've been vaping for about 2 weeks with ego-c twist + mini protank
and i decided to upgrade my vape gear because it's not satisfy my needs

actually i already orderes mech mod single 18350 + kayfun 3.1 clone from FT and still on the way
but i've been thinking to get a apv mod, especially box mod instead

my requirements is:
1. vape to after a flavour, doesn't really care with a cloud
2. small, portable and fit with my pocket
3. long lasting battery

i have budget around $25 - $35 and have some candidate
- eleaf istick
- H-ANA MODZ Pack dna 30 Style Box Mod 1*18500 / 7W-30W from FT (SKU 1974904)

and my question is:
1. is mech mod is enough, or it's really worth it to buy a apv mod
2. is that really necessary to after sub ohm with my requirements?
3. what is the best setup (tank, RDA, RBA, ohm, koil, etc) to achive the best flavour?
4. is that really true that a single 18350 battery has a safe ohm on 0.8?

that's it, sorry for my bad english :p

I prefer a mec mod, they're so versatile and it's amazing what you can do with them. With my experience with FT, along with what I've read, you might be waiting for a while. But, getting to your question. What kind of battery did you get? It's not necessary to go sub ohm for amazing flavor, I use my nemesis with my plume vail rda and inside is a zipper coil at about .28 ohms and it didn't hit too hot. With that coil, I get amazing clouds and the most flavor I've had with a coil. I'd highly recommend it, keep in mind that it is a little difficult to build. And depending on your mod, along with your battery with determine how low you can go. Sorry about the rant, I hope I helped you out.

I bought 2 Kayfun lite plus clones from "My Freedom Smokes" and one of the Kayfun's wouldn't screw on to anything, bad threads. I called them and they sent me a new one. With Fasttech it wouldn't be that easy. I bought small things from them but for something bigger shop around or try Ebay. Hope all goes well for you. Took me a month to get use to the Kayfun. Big change from my Mini Protank 3.

1: mech mod is enough; you can get a kick for it:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10011166/1670801-authentic-sigelei-variable-wattage-kick-module
yes it is worth getting a full apv with a screen which shows ohms, watts, volts.

2: no.

3: RDA.
You can also get an rdta:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/3028/10009819/1926201

4: Normal size is 18650;
safe ohm depends on "continuous amp draw"

i got efest purple 18350 for the battery, the mech mod that i ordered only support single 18350

i hope it'd be gone well for me :D

Mechs aren't usually a simple solution :D

Welcome to the forum!
thanks! :)

If you aren't ready to subohm then an APV should be fine. Most $30 APV are good for 1 ohm and up becuase cheaper ones dont usually go past 15 or 20 watts. The vamo v5 or v6 is a good APV for 30 and I use it when I want more controll and dont want to sub ohm. MVP V 2.0 is good too

RDA is best flavor too. I got a Plume Veil 1.5 clone for $15 and its great. Theres plenty of youtube videos teling you how to build RDA coils but you will also have to buy kanthal and a wicking material for a rebuildable. You can take an 18350 to .8 but I usually keep it above 1 ohm

thanks for the advice!

IPV Mini + Atlantis
it's kinda excessed my budget :D

still i can't decide whether i should invest to a good apv (ipv mini, istick etc) or should i invest to RDA since i don't have one and stick to my incoming mech mod

If you have no apv at all, it's worth investing in one.
a vamo, svd, tesla, a sigelei.. lots of options.

as for an rda, get a cheap rda; not exactly an 'investment'

ok so i bought an ipv mini with a cheap price last week and i sold it right way because it was too big and heavy for me and the price still too expensive

my current setup is: cartel single 18350 + kayfun 3.1 + plume veil
and now i felt that my single 18350 couldn't handle my vape and i have to charged it every 3-4 hours and it's really pain in the a**

and yeah i decided to get an apv mod, my choice is istick because it's cheaper than ipv mini, but i want to know if istick is okay to run plume veil and kayfun 3.1 with a great flavor?
