Hey guys,

My Reo Grand seems to be leaking from somewhere and I can't determine how or why.

I noticed that the top of my battery has been getting juice on it and I had a ring of juice around the top of my firing pin. The spare cotton wick stuck at the top of my bottle around the tube connection is bone dry, so it cannot be coming from the top of the tube.

I've noticed liquid underneath the battery and around the spring and underneath the bottle/behind it as well.

This would mean that it's leaking between the cap and bottle connection...My o-ring looks secure and its screwed on as tight as can be.

Anyone else experience leaking in these areas?

Put some cotton or folded paper towel under the bottle after you dry the inside. You should be able to tell where you have the leak by where it gets wet. You can also put some between the delrin cover and the door.

Any instructions for that bottle mod? :)

Post #115 here:

This should solve any o ring problems you having . Use a 11/64 drill bit to drill out the dripper nipple cut about 1/8 off of the tip slip your tube through . No gaskets needed

Maybe I'm just ......ed, but I don't understand how to do that at all, lol.

How does the standard cap look like that just by drilling out the dripper hole? Then again, maybe I don't know what you mean by dripper hole...Anyone know of a video? :)

The bottle comes in three parts. Bottle, dripper tip, and cap. The dripper tip fits over/on the rim of the bottle and is used for dripping.

That dripper tip is what you drill out to tubing size.

You do not need the cap.

Just put the tubing through the dripper tip and snap it on the bottle.

OHHHH I get it lol!

So, I unscrew the bottle from my Reo and remove the top cap from the tube...drill out the dripper hole to be large enough to fit the tube and then just use it like that.

Thanks guys :)

Yeppers! No cap and no o-ring. Just snap the tip on and off to fill your bottle.

Well...it'll still fire without the rubber/plastic thing on the firing pin, not sure what its function is...

I think my leak is a result of pressure where the top of my tube meets the firing pin, I think some juice is squirting out from there, thats the only reason why I would end up with liquid on my firing pin and the positive end of my battery.
