I have a smoktec pro with the mdc mico coil. my replaceable coils have been hit or miss. but i cant seem to beat the vape when i get a good coil in it? .....i have a tugboat, tohba, steam turbine, two drilled out tiny smok things, hana clone, arowinder1500 and a couple other no name rda's but i cant seem to beat it

iv been running 24,28,and 30 gauge round kinthal over cotton (ss mesh is kicking my ... with shorts and burnt taste)

what im looking for is a consistant full flavor thick heavy vape.

you can take ejuice out of the equation since i have some diy iv been making and love it in the smoktec pro but not the rda builds

iv tried running .9ohms-2.6ohms usaly from 15.5w-30w

tried probably 10 dif coil builds

waiting on a kayfun mini and a range of driptips from fast tech in the mail

WHAT SHOLD I BE LOOKING AT TO GET THAT VAPE IM LOOKING FOR

Kayfun is a pretty solid performer if you want to go with RBA. As far as drippers go, have you tried the Magma RDA? It lives up to the hype as far as flavor goes. Simple to build and really forgiving. You've got to make a dog ugly coil for it to not to taste good.

As far as coils go, I've tried plenty of builds claiming to be the latest and greatest, but I keep coming back to single coils, resistance depends on the juice I'm dripping. KGD or Rayon, only real difference I find is that the KGD is tidier.

If your juice doesnt taste as good in your drippers you may need to adjust your pg/vg ratio. More VG will give you the heavy thick fullness you desire while more PG will give you much more flavor. Your battle is finding the happy medium. What works in tank setups will not always work well in a dripper.

The Kayfun clones by EHPro and Hcigar, along with the Black Edition Kayfun Lite clone seem to be some of the better Kayfun clones. I keep reading that the sweet spot on them is around 1.4ohms but also see all kinds of ohm ranges and builds. You will have to find your own sweet spot.

The Magma is an rda that people say they get great flavor with.

Im loving my vulcan rda to be honest its whooping my kayfuns and all my drippers just standard cotton cloud 24 guage 6wraps dual coils ('''') chamber is tall and the fins work keeping it cool. I dont know the size of drill bit but its like a steel mini screwdriver you get in your kits for spares n such. Excellent vape tack on one of those long drip tips and its perfect with massive dense clouds and flavor

keep the tops of the coils open but press them low in the cotton enjoy :p

If you mean the little blue handled ones, 2mm (mine read 1.97mm for Phillips head, 1.99mm for flathead).

Something to watch when wrapping on these is that the head may be a fraction larger than the rod behind it, which can muck up your coil when you go to slide it out.

I have 4 of the Kayfun Lites by Ehpro. They are all I use. Not only do they taste better then anything else I have tried they are more cost efficient too.

For 16 dollars I have enough cotton and wire to last me probably several years. No replacement coils to buy. I rewick every couple of days when I clean my tanks. My coils I only redo maybe once a month.

That's pretty much my story too. I've also got 4 ehpro KFL+ RTA's and they're all I use too, with the exception of one Aqua that I have forced into the rotation. The aqua is alright, but it's not a kayfun.

interesting i didn't think abut the vg possibly not wicking on the cotton the same as the silica that comes in thous replaceable....ill have to get some silica to see its affects on the vape quality. but after that im going to conclude that if i use the same juice in both that i can eliminate juice as a variable since its consistent. im waiting to get the kayfun mini in the mail.

im guessing the next step in my ummmm..... scientific expedition  is to try and mimic the mdc duel coil on a silica wick in different mods...

by coping the coil and wick im hoping to narrow down my discrepancy by category category and have a better understanding of effects the rda might actually have.

does anybody know what gauge thous wicks are?

The Phillip's ends usually do not fan out like the flat heads. Try that. Else get a cheap precision screwdriver kit with plenty of Phillip's heads. You could luck out and find a diameter that suits you better.
