Ok I know I want a Chuck.. But sooo many choices....

Only think I know is I have a USB Passthrough and I really dont like HOT vapor..(I dont think I do anyway..but what do I know....) Not much..

My first e cig was a PR110
E-cigarette, Electronic Cigarette PR110

and I like it fine but battery life is the pits...

Got a DSE905 and ..well it leaves alot to be desired.. Figured out after I got it I needed a adapter to use my KR808 carts with it...and so far the one I got just doesnt seem to work well.. Ordered a different one from different supplier so will see... Not using the carts.. just using the 901 Tips I fill with my own juice?? well that just does not seem to taste good... (I put the blue foam in instead of the prefilled material..) still not happy...

So can anyone help me figure out what I want? I know I want a chuck from all the good things I have read.. but what do I need to order?

My fav flavors are 555,Ry4 (I have only tried this in PG so far.. waiting on a order now of VG from alien Visions) and LiteEcig's Apple pie VG (I think is the flavor..)is the only sweet flavor I tried that I really liked..and it is a little week...but I do like it...

So best of my experience is that I like the cartomizers the best but hate the hassle of them.. filling new or prefilled is still a pain... but doable I guess If I have to...

So what do I try next? Besides the Chuck.. I know I could not go TO wrong.. but want to get it right...... Since I feel I will be spending a lot of time Researching first, ordering next and then finally they day my chuck will be born, to our time in my hand...

Any advise ?? thoughts? thanks...Size is not a issue.. Battery time of course is ...

Thanks to all that chime in..

Sounds like you, like me and many others, just want a 3.7v experience.

So you can get a Little Chuck, or if you want MASSIVE battery life you can get a big one.
But it's also a bit bigger, but the battery lasts forever, which is the tradeoff to consider.

I have only Big Chucks, but I am 6'5" and they fit in my hand real nice.
:)

If you want juice that tastes perfect, then you need to drip.
Filler material generally interrupts the flavor.

I can say that the blue foam doesn't disrupt flavor much.
And of course the Zero Filler Mod (ZFM) should not disrupt it at all.

But in the end, dripping is where I have landed.

RY4 and 555 are two of my favorites.

But there are so many good juices out there now.
And Tasty Vapor Caramel Popcorn is also my favorite, so there's that.

Lots of people are using cartomizers with their Chucks.

Well, if you don't ever want to consider 6v action, you'd probably want a Lil' Chuck, it uses one RCR123 battery, or 16340 numbering wise. The full size is an extra inch and a half, and just gives you the option of using 2 3volt batteries RCR123, 2 3.7volt batteries RCR123 or 1 3.7volt battery 18650.

Big chuck takes any of those 3 combos, little is one battery @ 3.7v no matter what. However, if you are curious of 6v vaping, then let your first be a biggie and go from there. Also, if you want to just vape for 2 days straight on the chuck without having to change batts, the biggie is for you as well. The 18650 batts last forever, and with a LR atomizer can give you close to a 5v experience anyways.

I personally prefer AW batteries, they seem to have much more realistic numbering and better max drain statistics than any others out there, with the downside of being a few bucks more depending on the battery itself. For an 18650 I would suggest AW 18650 2200 mAh .

For a dual battery solution, some folks like their 7.4v but I don't think I'd enjoy it nearly as much as 6v, for which I use 2 of these batteries, they'll handle anything you can throw at it, and don't need protection as they won't vent flames or hasplode. AW LiFePo4

Lil' Chuck: For that, the simplest solution is 3.7 AW protected, 750 mAh.
Or if you find you like low res atomizers, you would want to switch to AW IMR 3.7v battery

As far as cartomizers, well, you're not going to find an easier solution unless you get a liquid feed mod which the Chuck can't offer atm. Carto's are as easy as it gets though, dripping is very intensive, and filling carts only to vape half the liquid is annoying unless you use one of the myriad cart mods which adds even more fiddling. Cartomizers are the way to go if you don't like to fiddle around with stuff. One thing you can do is try the 510 cartomizers with soft tips, it allows you to drip fill them, and get quite abit of liquid in, and have a drip tip to throw on top so it makes it a little longer and gives a better overall feel instead of the carto tailpipe.

As flavors go, that's something you have to find out what you like, everyone's tastes are different. What's spot on to someone, is way too strong to another person and so on. Like, in my case, I like what Greg produces at Elixir Liquids, but his stuff can be too strong for some, I love em... I mean the vanilla custard, good god it's like a friggin bowl of creme brulee, it's just that awesome but VERY strong. Vanilla mocha caramel, another winner, very good, a lot less of a punch than the vanilla custard or his cinnabon (OMG LIKE EATING CINNAMON ROLLS FOR REAL) but it's still got a damn good flavor. I get my liquids from a lot of different suppliers some here some there, I haven't found a supplier with every single liquid the exact way I like it just yet, but I'm still looking! :D

Anyways, I babbled on about batteries all too much I think.

Basically can sum it up like this.

Lil' Chuck: 3.7v forever, batt life 8hr-1day depending on your vaping habits.
Big Chuck 3.7v, 6v, 7.4v, batt life depends on type, 3.7 18650.. you could go away for the weekend and not need a spare in most cases. The 2 battery setups, 8-24h depending obviously.

I would order with a 510 connector, gives you easier options too since you can order a set of adapters direct from Jeff with your order to give you dang near every possible option. If you go with a 801 fitting you will not be able to use cartos without an adapter that you would have to find elsewhere.
I ordered both chucks but the regular chuck is my favorite too. Better bat life, love six volts.

Personally, I am a 510 cartomizer junky. Simple, no nasty taste (well there was that diy experiment but not the cartos fault LOL)
You have made an excellent choice going with a chuck. I like the big one best too. Love the options and you don't need to have giant hands etc for a good fit. Girly hands here, fits perfect for me too and I am a whole foot shorter than DC2. LOL!

I recently ordered #3 (I gave #1 to my sister) and all 3 are the big Chuck precisely because of the battery life of a 18650. I tend to change it every other day but it's not necessary; it'll go on for much longer than that. I love the convenience and reliability.
I need a sister like you.. LOL .. Dont have a sister at all but if I did I would wish she would think enough of me to get me a chuck... LOL..
Yours in the picture is I must say Very cool looking...
I want one.. I want one.. I am expecting ..(LOL) the birth of mine very very soon...
thanks for the reply

Glad you brought this up as this is the next issue.. Can you tell me more about the 510 carts? I am not even sure I have ever seen the 510 carts? Do they make them just like the KR808 carts? filled and empty? Are they the same price? I want to know more about what your saying..
What do you like to vape at 6 volts?? My pass through is sometimes to hot for me to like the juice I have in it sometimes...( Like the 555 or reg tobacco flavor I tried..)

I think we already have about 4 threads on the cartos in the Chuck subforum so we probably shouldn't derail this one. (Plus there's at least one in the 510 model specific area.) There are some small cartos (orange) that weren't very popular. What everyone is talking about here is the big ones that hold 1-2ml of liquid.
