I seem to have a lot of problems with equipment. I have a Joye 510. When I got my kit, one of the batteries went crazy and was lighting on it's own, the stopped lighting altogether. So I sent it back and got a new one. Then one week later my ac charger quit working. I sent that back. Now I recieved the mega battery and cartomizers last night. I set it up and smoked it about 2 hours and the battery started blinking so I charged it overnight with the USB charger. I take it off and it doesn't work at all. So now I have to send it back. Am I doing something wrong or what??

I love vaping when my equip works and I stop the analogs. But with all the equip problems I keep having to return to smoking. My husband is ...... that I keep having to return stuff because of all the shipping back and forth is costly. What am I doing wrong?? HELP:(:(:(

Wow, I'm really sorry you are having so much trouble starting out. I haven't used a regular 510, but it might help to know if you have purchased everything from the same vendor. I started out with a dse901 and quickly moved to an eGo (not the tank one). Liberty Flights has them, fast shipping, and when you go to the home page click on the link in the upper left corner for 20% off your order.

I was paying $8.28 a pack when I quit last August. You will save money, once you get over the initial learning curve, and find the right hardware.

You might want to reach out to someone in the Phoenix forum, someone there might be able to tell you if there are any local stores.

It sounds like you're having some bad luck...
Maybe try a mod? The little all-in-one batteries and switches are nice, but I could never keep them charged, and the USB chargers hanging from my laptop always bugged me (yes you can plug them in too- I just never did).

I got a Maxi Roughstack from Madvapes, and LOVE it. It's a really simple device, but I like chargers that plug into the wall. Now I'm waiting for a Reo to come in because I really like mods. The Maxi Roughstack is only $45 plus batteries- so it's really pretty affordable.

Have you tried the first time charge on the 510 batteries for at least 8 hours, instead of when the green light comes on? When I began, my batts did the same thing, went off on their own, did not hold a charge, etc. I spent the next two weeks shipping back and forth and it was a hassle. Go with a good vendor. like litecigsusa.net, or cignot, or someone and make sure you leave them on for at least 6 hours the first time. Li-on on not supposed to have a memory, but they can be finicky. maybe move tot he eGo or Riva at Libertyflights.com, you should not have these problems.

Are you using automatic batteries? Autos are so much easier to damage or kill with e-liquid. The manual 510's are totally sealed on the threaded end and fairly safe from being damaged or killed by juice leaks.

But with autos or manuals you still need to keep the end dry because liquid can create a short between the solid round central pole and threads of the battery and that is usually noticed by the battery and it will flash (or just not work) instead of work. So if a manual battery is acting weird, check to make sure all of the battery connection (both sides) is dry, especially in the circular valley between the central pole and threaded edges of the battery (I run a little folded point of tissue around in the circle if I think juice may have gone there). And always clean/dry the battery end before sticking it in a charger. Also check now and make sure there is no liquid in the charger.

Cartomizers you fill or refill are sometimes going to leak a bit on the end of the battery no matter how careful you are.

Make sure chargers have correct stable power. Do not hook chargers up to unpowered USB hubs. I charge all of my batteries off a 2amp USB to AC 4-port adapter (Rosewill RUC6181 from NewEgg.com). You could also use motherboard USB slots on your computer (slots right on the body of the computer)

Also do not use LR (low resistance) atomizers or cartomizers on slim 510 batteries. You can damage the batteries. If you want to use LR stuff then you need to get at least an Ego or Riva (fat battery model)

Also I recommend buying real Joye brand batteries.

Does any of that apply?

I started out with a Joye 510 kit, then bought bigger batteries for it, then I bought a passthrough. I didn't like being tied to the computer, so I got a wall to usb plug. Then I tried atomizers, cartomizers, dripping, clearomizers, cartridges and their various filler materials. I finally went to Mad Vapes and bought a 3.7 v box mod and three batteries and a charger. I attached a lanyard on it, because I dropped it a few times LOL. BUT I LOVE THIS LITTLE BOX!! I soon realized that I don't need my vape to look like a real cigarette, I prefer function over looks, and this little guy is like the energizer bunny, keeps going and going.
