hi! I'm sure there's a more specific subforum i ought to be posting this in, but I'm new and don't have that privilege....

I have a mini protank 3, brand new coil in it, screwed onto a new battery, an ego c-twist. it worked for about 5 mins, then just flashes. so i charge it. now, fully charged, when i screw on the mini protank 3, it just flashes. when i remove the tank, it lights up like normal. when i use a different tank, it works fine. I've had this problem before with that tank, but on other batteries i could make it work but unscrewing it slightly and just vaping with the tank a little loose off the battery. but even that isn't working on this battery.

I saw another thread here about a similar problem, and the op said it resolved itself when he switched out his coil. i tried this but the same problem persists.

I've also seen people suggest pulling up the center part on the battery. but since this issue occurs on multiple batteries, and the battery works fine with other tanks i don't want to mess with it and damage a new battery if the problem is really with my tank.

any ideas or info would be much appreciated! I really like this tank and this battery and i want them to be friends!

If it flashes (usually 3 times) when a tank is screwed on: it indicates a short somewhere with the coil. On protank coils this is usually a wire exposed where the coil touches the battery. Try removing the coil from the tank, then running your finger over the bottom part of the coil to see if you can feel a wire protruding. If not, it was probably just messed up from the factory. You can also try pushing the bottom pin of the coil (not the battery) up a little more to see if that helps.
