So I got up this morning and immediately reached for my mod (as I do every morning) and took a few vapes. Then about the 5th or 6th pull I look and the light came on. I thought I just hit one of the menu buttons, but the screen was blank, just the backlight was lit. I tapped the power down button and the light went out, but it wouldn't fire anymore. So i opened it up and popped the batts out (stacked 18350's) and dropped one and the extension to put it in mini mode and it was fine.

I think I saw 1 person say they had a bad failure running stacked batts, but I think that was b4 the v2's came out. But now it's got me worried and I'm not sure I'll continue using it like that, which sucks cause the vape is sooo much better at the higher watts. Any one ever have anything like this happen to them?

Using efest 800 mah imr batts. No, I don't alternate the batts, only because I hardly ever stack them, but they are brand new, maybe 2 weeks old. In the month I've owned this thing I've only stacked batts 3 or 4 times, so not something I do often. And I make sure they both come off the charger at the same time, and meter them individually first, so I do take some precautions. I have 4 x 18650's and 4 x 18350's in "rotation" and never experienced a problem using single batts that I couldn't chalk up to "user error", nothing like this.

If you stack batteries from what I've researched always keep in pairs when bought new, rotate batteries top to bottom after every recharge, I just mark them 1A and 1B for example. Have you checked them yet to see if voltage is the same in both? Also let your batteries rest before recharge and after. Hope your Vamo is OK.

I just marked my 18350s as i knew nothing about rotating them. What is the reason to do this?
I usually use a single 18650 or single 18350 sometimes i stack 18350s either for voltage or because my 18650 is dead and am heading out the door (i always charge my 350s at the same time too)

Sorry for jumping in on the post but i have heard nothing about vamo problems with battery stacking (although i hope anyone who does stack at least uses the same type of battteries with same speqs too)

The only time i ever get errors on my VAMO is when my battery needs to be charged or if I wrap a coil less than 1.2 ohms

The reason for rotating I believe is one battery is being more strained then the other, the battery closest to the positive connection.

thanks for the info looks like i should buy some more 18350s in case i want short mode since i have already stacked several times or stop stacking now lol i probably will just stop i have an 18650 and i rarely (pretty much never) use high resistance attys/what have you so i dont need the high voltage.

Also they say keep the stacked pairs different from the batteries you use by themselves because one may discharge faster/not be as charged as the other one which could lead to a catastrophic failure.

Right this is what I'm trying to say. Buy a new pair, mark them 1A/1B or however you want. Check voltage on both before recharging and after recharging. If they differ by more than .1 volts after recharge I personally would not use them together as a pair anymore.
