Hello, Modders and other electrically talented!

I need help fixing my UltraFire Charger for my new ScrewDriver.

First, I got UltraFire Charger from DealExtreme to charge 3.6v R123A. It is great! A lot better than Nano Charger that came with SD. Charges two at a time and about 1 hour or so.

Problem: LIR 123A 3.6v (that comes with SD and also sells at DealExtreme) -- The + cap is little short, so when you put the batteries in, the plus cap does not make contact with the plus side plate on the charger.

You need to pull the batteries out of the "crate" slightly out to charge the battery. The plastic on the both sides of the + metal plate get slightly thicker so that when you push battery all the way into the crate, the + cap of battery loses the contact with the + plate in the charger.

I elevated the battery by putting some folded paper into the crate and it works okay. But I think a better solution might be put in conductive material between the + plate and the + cap.

Does anyone know a decent conductive materials I can easily get for this purpose? I tried paper clip and I tried aluminum foil, both work okay. Not sure if there are better alternatives.

Thank you.

p.s. If we can overcome this, I highly recommend UltraFire for SD.
