So i just bought my E-cig from liberty flights.. was very quick to deliver.. 3 days actually.. which is awesome!
Well, it turned out to be not-so-awesome. I opened the pretty package and set everything up: filled cartidge with spearmint liquid, attached everything to find out the heat element was automatically active upon connection, seeing smoke and whatnot pouring out of the vents. (smelled like burnt rubber or plastic maybe.. actually inhaled some of it. very unpleasant.) it did not shut down until I unscrewed it. I attempted to see if i put the battery in wrong.. nope. And the battery was also charged, so that can';t be the problem. I am so irritated right now, from a hard days work all i wanted to do was ''not'' smoke a cigarette and enjoy some good ol' vapor. But now all i want to do ''is'' smoke another cigarette because I'm stressing over my lost money here. If anyone could help me with this problem, i would greatly appreciate it. I'm rather new to this, so maybe I missed something somewhere..

quintin, This too shall pass. Stuff happens...sorry it happened to you on your first PV.

If you really want to go smokeless at this moment....get over to your closest Walgreens and get a Blu disposable (don't touch the kits). The disposable has 24mg and will last for one full day. Call Liberty Flights first thing in the morning and have them overnight you a new E-Power.

Good luck.

You have a bad switch. Get in touch with liberty flights and they will replace it. What color was the light when the battery was on?
And it was blue. when I would leave the cartridge unplugged and screwed in the battery, it would blink 3 times then be unresponsive.. ..unless I screw in the cart, in which it heats up. But like you guys said, it's most likely the switch.

That was a little encouraging. I appreciate it. I'll call them around 9am - hopefully they'll be up and running by that point. I just hope they won't put me down because I tried everything to get it working.. didn't necessarily booger it up, but the cartridges are a little burnt up.

Thanks guys. You seem like a bunch of cool peeps.

With the switch problem I can't recommend it anymore.

However I have two with the original switches close to a year now and never had a problem. The e-Power battery is regulated at 3.7 volt. That means you will get a more consistent vaping experience than with an unregulated battery like a Riva. Joy Egos are also regulated batteries but they run at around 3.4 volts and the battery inside is not replaceable. I like it because the electronics with the power button and the battery inside are easily replaceable. I can also replace the stock battery with AW IMR batteries.

So now I'm beginning to wonder if I should get a refund (if possible) and buy something better? I've seen some very interesting vape pieces around here. Is the E-power a good decision, if it works, that is?

If you get the new switch, it's a great starter pv. I have two. However, if I could turn back time, I would have started with a higher end pv. Like the Provari.

I've been happy with regular egos. I have a lot of batteries in rotation, but I still have a working battery from my very first kit. A joye ego battery. The joye batteries seem to last longer for me but the Riva batteries have all lasted 6 months. 6 months for a $15 battery isn't an issue for me really.

I can't speak for e-powers, I don't have one. In theory they make sense if they work. Batteries are cheap and if you get a mod you may be able to use the same batteries.

The question I keep asking and never have gotten a response is how long to the switches last? I guess it's too soon to tell, they haven't been out all that long.

It's hdd to say. I have two for about a year. I also use a provari probably twice as much as the two e-powers combined. I vape about 90 ml per month. That may give you an idea of how long they last but that's only two batteries. Now they have new switches, so who knows?

BTW the watermelon was really good.

I'm pretty sure LF carries the new switch models. I got one from them just a week ago or so.

They have blue LED, plastic switches that are built right into the tube (not removable). If memory serves, that is the new switch model. Mines working fine so far. Only had an issue where the button would "stick" a couple times, but clicking the button again fixes that right away.
