When I am typing the "Auto Saved" window pops up for a couple of seconds and then disappears. I don't loose any of my typing. In fact, I can type the whole time with no interruption at all in my typing. Just checked this out as I was typing this message. Hopefully another member can shed some light on this.

What Kr3wsk8er said. Make sure you click that "Remember Me" box when you log in. By clicking that, you will stay logged in and you won't have to log in whenever you open ECF on your browser.

If you are still having problems, you might want to copy everything you have typed before trying to post. I am fairly confident that just by clicking that box will solve this issue for you. It is right below where you enter the log in information when you do log in.

Try logging off, then log back in. Before actually hitting the enter button, click that little box.

Let us know if that works for you :)

Try the "remember me" setting when logging in, it will not log you out. If you are using a shared computer and do not want others to be able to visit the site and potentially post as you, just remember to manually log out whenever you are done with ECF.

FYI, the "Remember Me" box is kinda hard to see. It's right below the top line where you log in.
That will work.
I think you might be SOL on getting text back. Been there & done that, ha.

Now I see that Robino1 beat me to it. Those mod's are just too fast, sometimes, lol.

Yes ive seen that but sometimes when I press the 'post reply' button it says I need to log in or refresh the page. This has resulted in me losing the whole of the reply I had typed out, and having to start all over again.

when it gives you that message copy all the text and you can paste it back in again

Hijack this is exactly what I am attempting to solve and hoped to find an answer here. Did you find a solution ? Location and name of where messaging puts text when it says "Autosave" (yep I know that' not verbatim what it says)

.

You'll see the "auto-saved" message periodically as you're typing. If it's a quick message and you go to post it before the auto save kicks in, you'll lose what you've typed if you have forgotten to check the "remember me" box and are logged out.

If it has auto saved while typing and are then logged out, going straight back to the thread and clicking in the quick reply box should bring your text back to life. However, it's all for naught if you're logged out before you start typing. At that point, the system considers you a "guest" and will not auto-save as you type. For the best results, ensure the "remember me" box is checked when logging in to ECF.
