To make a long story (as short as I can), I had a gift certificate that I won at LV vapefest for a $100 In juice from gourmet vapors.. It took all this time for me to finally work through the BS of a guy named Todd who refused to honor the gift certificate and fill my order.. Come mid December I finally got in touch with another rep, and just placed the entire $100 worth for a select few juices to get rid of the hassle..
Well I had mainly bought chocolates and vanilla mints.. I like mixing them together to make my own chocolate mint.. I had a 3 ml tank with a batch I recently made and every time I took a vape or two off it, I got spins (I've been vaping for two years) and before that I was a chain smoker.. Also I normally vape 24 or 30 mg juice.. So for this to cause vertigo so badly, that I can't even focus, I am wondering if the Nic level is way to high ?? I took the 3 ml out of the tank and saved it in a bottle.. After changing back to my high caliber juice with a new carto things are vaping fine again.. If Anyone wants to help me test this stuff (I have no way of doing so), please PM me or reply to this thread.. Thanks and vape on !!!

It is also possible to be allergic to certain vanilla extracts or other added chemicals to the flavor base. Have you ever had a PG reaction, or ethyl alcohol reaction? These are other factors. I would blame the nic level right away, but be cautious.

Did your "vertigo" also include blurred/tunnel vision....sweats...bowel issues (excuse the notion) or any other side effects of nicotine poisoning?

There are a wide range of flavor bases and e-juice formulas. Just because you didn't react to one vanilla base, or type of ethyl alcohol doesn't mean that stands true across the board. Some ethyl bases are corn and others are grape. There are conclusive clinical studies showing allergic reactions, in some cases, to either one or both (for some people). Vanillum is another additive to watch for (some vanilla extracts have it others don't).

Ah I am rambling, point being....don't point straight to the nic level. Not saying that isn't it, but if you really want to get to the bottom of it, look at a broader scope. :toast:

I appreciate the help.. As for my reaction, it certainly didn't feel like an allergic reaction where large amounts of histamine's were released (I once upon a time worked as an EMT).. I know I'm not allergic to pg or VG b/c I vape both at different mix values as well.. I doubt it was vanilla because I've been using every type of vanilla extract (from generic to homemade w/pure beans) in baking recipes for almost 30 yrs now..
Maybe it was an ethyl base that boosted the feeling and or compiled the problem ??(I for sure couldn't see straight, and after the vertigo subsided I got nauseous, just like I used to back in grade school.. sneaking filterless cigarettes, LoL !!
I guess the only way to know for sure is to have an accurate test done with it...

I totally agree. Barring a clinical test and full mass spectrometer report on the specific juice, we are all just guessing.

Common chemical compounds change GREATLY when vaporized, and not one person has the data to make a qualified or conclusive call either way. I sure wish I had the money to launch full clinical trials and lab analysis on the short/long term effects or "vaping". I bet the data would be worth a small fortune :vapor:
