I know this is kind of long, but please read through it...I need some advice from some good knowledgeable peoples.

MY CURRENT LAVATUBE SET UP:

Ok so I currently have two lava tubes version 1's,
Yes two.
Why 2?
Well because they are kind of less than good quality...imo.
The first one I had a pretty awesome experience with at first, it was my first venture into the world of VV and I think it served it's purpose, I mean it was fine before it fell, then fell apart. I dropped it, and had to do some surgery to it to make it work again, and it does work now, but over all it just seems to be kind of falling apart, now the bottom cap is falling off and the drop was directly on the top cap...weird. Also the paint on the top cap is coming off, and looks kind of janky. I am generally pretty easy on my pv's. The big drop was the only drop I have had so far.
I just recently got a good deal on a shiney finger print magnet polished "lambo" LT and well... it looks pretty!
Already having issues with it misfiring, Push the button...nothing...push it again and magic happens.
And some things just don't work on it. IE- My j-tank does not work on it at all. If I screw it on all the way, it will not fire.

I am ready to move on to a better more reliable American made VV mod (I do have a twist and love it for when I am out on the road, need something bigger/stronger for at home vape time

MY CURRENT TANK STATUS:
I have found that I like carto's the best, so I naturally would love carto tanks, right?
Not so far.
I have had bad luck with them.
Cheap smoktech DCT'S, and meh made American tanks have been my experiences.
I am currently using a j-tank, and after dealing with some delrin shards in my juice from shredding the end caps cause the holes were so tight that my carto literally wouldn't fit in them, I like it ok. I know a lot of people love them, but for me it has been kind of a hassle to get it up and going, and I lost about 2/12 tanks worth of bobas due to nasty delrin shards of doom.
Over all j tanks are good (now that I have broken through the undersized carto holes in the caps) but I want something better.

Yes I love dripping, but no I don't have the money to invest in a rebuildable atty tank, as much as I would like to it's just not an option for me right now.

So a carto tank it is...
I want a good American made (no offense to other countries) preferably in glass or pyrex.

I have a firm 250.00 budget to get a quality tank setup, and a new vv mod that will last me, and serve as a primary vaping set up.

So...

Here are some random thoughts...
Of coarse I want a provari, I am familiar with it. I am tempted to just grab one and say screw the tank, but I really do need a good tank also.
I like phinac's tanks, but can't make both a provari and a phiniac happen for 250.00
I have already spent so much money, and my promise to my non smoker wife that vaping is going to be cheaper than analogs has proven to be a BIG ol fat lie. So we have discussed it and I should be able to free up about 250.00 in the budget coming up soon, but it's the last big vaping money I can have for a while. (first baby due in October ...stoked! :D)
So I need to quit buying cheap chinese made crap and get a setup that is proven and reliable and won't need to be replaced in a month or two, or shatter if dropped.
In a mod, I must have VV! 3.7 Just isn't doing it for me now. I like around 5v's. I also LOVELOVE LOVE the ohm reading, and regulated output features of the provari. Is there any other mod's out there that offer these options? (believe me I have searched the internets back and forth, and have yet to find a device as highly praised as the provari, so this thread is a shot in the dark)
Any other tank suggestions based on my stated desires? (U.S. made, glass)

In short I need your Help...

So here is your mission if you choose to accept:
Put together a VV mod/Tank combo for me based upon my desires (as much as possible) for around $250.00 usd (links to products would also be greatly appreciated)

Think: What would I do if I were in the pastor's shoes?

Thanks in advance.

p.s.- sorry for the horrible punctuation/spelling. It's 3:30 am here and I have been on the interwebs searching for my answer.

Yes...Provari for now is going to be a great investment for you! I would buy one and get your tank next paycheck! I really think this is the best way to go! Also check out Liquinator-tanks, mine have been good, although the O-rings were a bit tight at first!

Based on my experience, I would recommend the Provari. I own a couple of them and while I am moving more towards the wooden mods these days, my Provari has taken a beating and still works as good as the day I first fired it up. You can easily get an amazing looking Provari Mini or standard size and my favorite tank, the Tripolitis Tank from Kir Fanis. This combo would be pretty amazing on a chrome Provari. This total (with shipping will exceed your budget but you can make up for that by not getting the chrome provari).

Price List and Links (as requested)
Provari (Chrome): $179.95
Silver E-Cig: ProVari Chrome Silver Cigarette - Best Electronic Cigarette!
Tripolitis Tank (Bevel Cap): $59
Tripolitis Tank - Avid Vaper
Batteries for Provari (18490 AW IMR): $8.48

Total Cost: $247.43

p.s. cool beard!

3ml AL Liquinator Tank - Vapebar

I have a Liquinator tank and they are really good as well and would help your total cost come down. I missed where you said "American Made" in which case I would revise my original suggestion on the tank to include the RATank. ($71 at the moment).

Get a tank filler tool from phiniac or slap yo mama adapter, least your tankcap problems will be solved then.
There are more vendors out there that sell pyrex tanks (hoosier comes to mind, no experience with those tough) if you dont have the funds for a phiniac at the moment.
Phiniac scratch and dents maybe are a option to?

I agree on the phiniac tool for tanks. It really makes thinks easier and it's cheap. My wife uses tanks but, I don't have a lot of experience with them.

As for the VV device, there are plenty of provangelists around here but, you need to decide how you think you'll use it. As far as I'm concerned, you buy a VV to get a better vape. I set the voltage the way it tastes good for me at the moment. All of the bells, whistles and menus on the Provari are of no value to me. I don't need to measure voltage or resistance any more than I need to measure the salt I put on my food. So for me, something like a Buzz Pro makes more sense. Just a wheel to turn it up or down. It's simpler to use.

I have to ask since you prefer dripping. Why aren't you interested in bottom feeders or something like the VVPV?

Well, if you ant a Provari, keep your eyes peeled on the classy's. They do pop up there from time to time! I just picked up a lovley black and silver number for 150 including shipping (I payed another 12 dollars for 2 1100mah AW's) that was 162 shipped for a V2 Provari. That would leave you a GOOD chunck of change to play with tanks!

Just my 2cents. Amazing what you can find in the classy's. Michy also has a good point. While there IS a learning curve to squonking, once you get it down, Bottom feeders are actually really nice!

Legacy - $89.00 LEGACY [USA]
Kick - $45.00 The KICK by EvolV
Phiniac Naked Tank - $38.00 Sandblasted Tank - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks (please note, use Boge SR Carto's and stay away from those leaky Dual Coils!)
Trustfire TR-1 Charger and two 18490 AW's - $28.71 Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products. Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products.

End result is a fully mechanical mod that will never break, variable wattage (better than VV IMO), and the best glass tank on the market for $200.71 plus shipping.

If you want to use the cartos, you could just go for a bottom feeder mod that would in effect replace the tank, the VV Reo Grand should be out in a couple of weeks from my understanding, there are other bottom feeder mods out there as well that are variable voltage. And since you like dripping, well the bottom feeder would be a good solution.

How much voltage tweaking do you do?

I'm new, and I'm not going to suggest a specific product. But, if you don't tweak your voltage often you could go with a Kick and any old 18650 mod (Bolt is cheap, but chinese…Legacy was mentioned, Silver Bullet, etc.), calculate what wattage you're getting now (voltage * voltage / resistance) and set the kick accordingly.

If I find myself tweaking less long term than I am now with my new toy, that's probably what I'm going to do. If I keep tweaking like I am now, buzz pro, here I come.

Hope that helped.

Thanks for all the feedback.
Here are my thoughts, I am not trying to to picky, but since this is my last big purchase for a while I want to make sure I am getting something that I really like.
I love the concept of a bottom feeder, but since I kind of have to make this purchase count I am reluctant to buy a mod style that I have never used before, in fear that I won't like it or get the hang of it. I have seen mixed reviews on feeders where some people love them, some hate them...I wish there was a cheaper chinese made version of one so I could at least test the style of vaping out before I bought a Reo, if anybody wants to loan me one of their feeders for a couple of weeks to try I would be very grateful :D

I am playing with the idea of a kick but I tend to like to adjust the voltage/wattage based on specific juice, or time of the day. I like a higher voltage (5v-ish) in the morning/day but tend to like to taper down a bit as the day goes on and my lunges get tired (i'm kind of a heavy vaper) so I'm kind of weary of getting a device as my primary that I would have to take off the cap, adjust, re assemble, vape, and repeat to find my slightly changing "sweet spot" I do like the legacy, and my friend has a silver bullet, which I loved the form factor and durability of that bad boy.

Never have heard of the trapolitis or the ra tank...Looking into them though.

The liquantor is one that I am looking into, again I am reluctant because of the delrin caps, and crackable tanks though, and I have heard they can be kind of "slippy" Not ruled out yet though.

And I will be getting a slap yo momma or a filler tool when I make this next purchase, depending on who I end up going with...

When I don't have money to spend finding what I want to buy is a lot easier...LoL!

Thanks again and keep em coming.

For a cheapie bottom feeder to try out to see if you would like one or not for around $25 you can get the Old Goat excluding batteries. Then you would know if you want something more in a bottom feeder.

Just outside my comfort zone.
I have a Provari with red LED and a Phiniac tank I will sell to you, I have 5 Provari's and that's the only reason I would let go of one. I would take a picture of it but don't know how to do it.
Thanks for all the feedback.

Wow! thanks!
Unfortunately, i'm still waiting for my money to come in, expected to be here later this week, early next week.
If you are still willing, and I/ve decide to go with the phiniac/provari combo I will hit you up and see if the offer still stands.
Seriously thanks!
